You know that the Bond films are science fiction, because if they were real, MI6 would have seen the fact that Hairplug Lindbergh is currently trying to be the villain of at least two movies and had him killed.Elon is now trying to loop Fauci into his schtick.
Is it wrong to just wish that someone would kick his ass?
Well there is only one sabotaging scumbag left. I doubt that Musk will fire himself though. One of the surnames of the resigned Twitter safety member (manager?) sounds familiar?
only the most principled and neutral people of course - Musk needs to sweep more thoroughly, lot of sabotage scumbags left
Why don't you google the surname and see what pops up ?One of the surnames of the resigned Twitter safety member (manager?) sounds familiar?

Musk knows what the advisory board can/can't do, him heaping shit on them is totally deliberately stirring the pot to get the RWMJs gunning for them so they shut up. Fuck him.Well there is only one sabotaging scumbag left. I doubt that Musk will fire himself though.
Also I have a question, how can someone on an advisory council (oh yes the Trust and Safety Council is just that an advisory council made of people not working for Twitter so that an outside perspective can be given to Twitter, one that Twitter specifically created to do exactly that) do anything beyond giving advice that can be freely ignored by the entity being given the advice? I mean how can leaving because Musk is not only ignoring your advice but also undoing years of work based on said advice be counted as sabotage and not as I'm going somewhere else where my time isn't wasted being a propaganda prop for a racist/anti-Semite/homo & transphobe who is actively working to worsen the safety of people on Twitter so that people will trust Twitter less?
Wild ass guess? One of the people probably coincidentally shares a surname with a prominent Democratic politician or other left-wing figure. Why don't you google the surname and see what pops up ?
You haven't told us, so we can't know who you're referring to. But we can wonder if you've got someone specific in mind or are just hoping we would dig up something on one of them for you.
Wow. From the article:BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
I mean, I wouldn't be great under the circumstances, but I am not and never will be in these circumstances.
Musk, who used to have a rather bipartisan appeal in the U.S., has outed himself as an entitled right-wing prick in the short span that he’s owned Twitter.
I just realized, that if he's $ 30.000.000.000 out of pocket of his own money, and he manages to to recover a single penny from each of those, that's still 300.000.000 he manages to recover. With respect to recouping his losses, I'd posit that he's well beyond that point and would be amazingly lucky to recover pennies on the dollar for what he paid for it.
Full on yup. 6 months ago, it was tech/space nerds and some ultra conservatives who seemed to know who he was. Two years ago, it was only tech/space nerds. A couple of years ago I had conversations with people about Tesla and/or SpaceX and used a phrase like "Elon Musk is push for" and I'd get a response of "Elon who? OH, the guy who runs Tesla".It's worse than setting $44 billion on fire. Far, far worse.
It's setting $44 billion on fire, then not putting out the fire as it spreads through your whole neighborhood.
The reputational damage is probably incalculable. There's always going to be stans, and they aren't going anywhere, but he's made it so that everyone has an opinion of him. That wasn't the case, previously. If you weren't a space nerd or in the market for an electric car, it was possible to ignore him altogether. Now he's failing spectacularly, in the full view of the entire public -- I've had multiple customers today bitching about Elon Musk. At my retail job. In the middle of rural North Carolina. Literally, unsolicited complaining about what a jackass he is.
That's priceless, in a way.
I'll be real honest, I am fairly left of center. Not super socialist. But Musk especially is making me feel a whole lot like confiscatory tax schema for the ultra rich, and even the rich, is perhaps not a bad thing at all. Just the societal good from preventing anyone and everyone from attaining the status of billionaire and wielding that kind of almost unlimited financial power to the detriment of society and the social contract is a hell of a lot of good all on its own.Folks, Elon Musk fully and forcefully entered the right wing camp publicly and has been unabashed in his entry with both feet firmly planted in it.
THIS is what happens when these cretins gain power.
Watch and learn.
Oh. Oh oh ohhhhhh.BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
I mean, I wouldn't be great under the circumstances, but I am not and never will be in these circumstances.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
I mean, I wouldn't be great under the circumstances, but I am not and never will be in these circumstances.
Musk ought to know. But I suspect the person I replied to is not Musk but a paid/useful idiot used by Musk to go after the people who have no compunction telling Musk he has not only no clothes but isn't an emperor either.Musk knows what the advisory board can/can't do, him heaping shit on them is totally deliberately stirring the pot to get the RWMJs gunning for them so they shut up. Fuck him.
Well, he’s decided to be extra shitty about queer people, and upon getting “home” from this outing, decided to post about the “woke mind virus.” You know, normal things.Oh. Oh oh ohhhhhh.
So he’s going to absolutely lose his mind this week, yes?
The dude can’t handle an open resignation letter. He can’t cope with people joking about him or disagreeing with him on Twitter. He threatens advertisers who don’t buy ads for being unsure where he’s taking the business. He fires employees who are even mildly critical of him. He uses his position at Tesla to go through customers’ records when they criticize his products. He calls people pedophiles for being dismissive of his obviously unworkable grandstanding when kids’ lives are at stake. He dictates weird terms to his romantic partners/incubators.
A stadium full of people booing you is a fairly common, literal nightmare for normal people who aren’t desperate, delicate assholes trying to win everyone’s approval.
What madness is he headed towards now?
I agree. The "trickle-down" theory is that reducing taxes on the wealthiest, which makes them even wealthier, makes the world better for everyone. How many real life counterexamples do we need that this is not so? The people who rise to extreme wealth are almost all sociopaths. I don't feel that it is necessary to dissect cause and effect to accept the reality of this.I'll be real honest, I am fairly left of center. Not super socialist. But Musk especially is making me feel a whole lot like confiscatory tax schema for the ultra rich, and even the rich, is perhaps not a bad thing at all. Just the societal good from preventing anyone and everyone from attaining the status of billionaire and wielding that kind of almost unlimited financial power to the detriment of society and the social contract is a hell of a lot of good all on its own.
It is all fun and games until someone can afford 10 million times more speech than the average person, and especially once they decide to be an edge lord shit troll to society. Perhaps we need to get back to something like 95% tax rates for earned and UNEARNED income over $1 million. Throw in maybe something like 1% property tax rate on $10 million of property or more, and 5% on $50 million in property. Make a carve out on that for privately owned company property so long as it is organized as an S corp, C corp, or LLC (yeah, make the sole proprietorship guys at least move to an LLC. Though I don't know any sole proprietorships that likely have >$10 million in property value). The income matriculating to the owner(s) would still be taxed at those rates.
And then ban companies of any type from political donations in cash or kind. That includes things like ad buys attempting to push a bill. I have no problem with lobbying for an outcome a company wants, so long as there is no bribery or quid pro quo going on. But donations, PACs, super PACs, ad buys to influence votes, etc. No.
A. Person Procures Naturalization Illegally
A person is subject to revocation of naturalization if he or she procured naturalization illegally. Procuring naturalization illegally simply means that the person was not eligible for naturalization in the first place. Accordingly, any eligibility requirement for naturalization that was not met can form the basis for an action to revoke the naturalization of a person. This includes the requirements of residence, physical presence, lawful admission for permanent residence, good moral character, and attachment to the U.S. Constitution.
I am pretty sure there won't be any shortage of Little Bobby Tables fanfic trying out the new 4000 char limit...So, with the caveat that I haven't done programming much above the "hobbyist/small business" level, increasing the max allowed tweet length strikes me as a non-trivial task that is likely going to illuminate various bugs and assumptions built into various random areas of code that were expecting 140 or 280 chars.
Again, with no knowledge of how it's all set up, it still seems inevitable you'll get situations where parts of messages get mistaken for metadata, or some sort of logging will hit max integer or memory limits...and oh god I hope they're not logging tweets as arrays...
My point is, with even limited experience, I wouldn't want to roll out a major change like that on a skeleton crew. It's not the obvious bugs that would worry me, it's the random library that no one has updated in years because it just worked, and has nothing to do with the feature directly, that's what should scare them.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

According to one of the posts after that Gizmodo article, the Twitter account that posted the videos has been deleted. I'm shocked, shocked, I tell you.Oh. Oh oh ohhhhhh.

If the account name matches the credit card name, check approved!Musk brings back Twitter Blue with new features to prevent impersonation
I don't see anything in the Reuters article to suggest they are stopping impersonation of individuals. The colored marks make it harder to impersonate businesses or government agencies, but blue is still blue. Is there a new process for vetting those purchased blue checkmarks? Is there any staff left to check them? Seems like we will just have a repeat.
At this point, that’s still in the realm of “normal” for him.Well, he’s decided to be extra shitty about queer people, and upon getting “home” from this outing, decided to post about the “woke mind virus.” You know, normal things.
I have to say, i find it hilarious to see the reputations not only of Musk, but also Geohot and Mudge in what i call "free fall".It's worse than setting $44 billion on fire. Far, far worse.

via Masto, WSJ reports a rather dramatic plummet in visits to the ad booking tools:The people paying Twitter’s bills have left.

Also a tiny amount of Americans use it: 23%, and only 6% of the population post 97% of the content:

I believe the OP already said all there is to say about it: BWAHAHAHAAHAAHHAAAA!!This... this was a crowd of people who came to see Dave Chappelle. They willingly bought tickets to see this man. This is his audience.
And they still booed Musk. An audience full of people primed for Chappelle's anti-Trans and anti-left rhetoric still shat on Musk's face.
I don't even know what to say about that.
Something tells me Musk wouldn’t like a rainbow of check mark colors on his new Twitter

I'm remembering 'keywords' from America On Line OR Netscape which is way before '03.
25 days and 15 posts all supporting your messiah Muskolini. Why are you even here? Should you not be fawning over his direct ramblings in your new found safe space?Major progress made. Lots of lawsuits that will go nowhere and $700,000,000 million a year in payroll savings.
Looks like he's getting it under control.
Musk isn't even really Nouveau Rich. His parents were very wealthy. But he's in the mid-generation. His parents were Nouveau Rich. Musk is the son of Nouveau Rich. And if Musk hadn't decided to poop in public, his children would've been of a Respectable Old Family. That's one of the reasons why Old Money hates the Nouveau riche.
