You didn't want to specialize your infiltrator to commando for even more ridiculous sniper rifle goodness? I did that, and I just counter-snipe the Geth snipers. Sure, they hurt, but thanks to my weapon mods and +40% dmg ammo, I hurt much more! -- View image here: http://episteme.meincmagazine.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif -- Everybody is all "HE rounds, HE rounds" though. If I do a new game+ with this char maybe I'll force myself to use them for a while, just to get a feel for how to work with them. I find Tungsten to be much easier though, since I can engage multiple targets faster if I don't overheat on every shot.

Okay.

Couple of things:

Just beat the game. lvl 50, full paragon, Infiltrator (spec Operative). Ending group was Williams and Wrex. I took my time, explored every nook and cranny. I don't think I got an optional side quest for a crack quack doctor named Banes due to a part of the quest no longer being available (played the sidequests 'out of order' maybe). Ended up with 45 hours and 00 minutes acording to the game clock. A little long, but I looked at everything. I completed all the collection quests, but I may have missed a few things for the codex achievement, apparently.

The reason I took Liara and Kaiden is for redundancy. I pushed ALL of my points in the sniper rifle as soon as possible, and would have them just lift up the baddies. It worked very well for medium distances, and was VERY useful for short distance combat. I would let them go to town and would turn marksman on with the pistol and shoot everything.

Here is how my ammunition broke down:
For the first 3/4's of the game, I'd swap between tungsten and shredder rounds, or their equivalents. Next 1/8th of the game, I was a polonium/advanced variant due to the high mixture of organics and synthetics. Use a round that works for everyone. The remaining 1/8th of the game was the HE rounds. BOOM. Instakill on most geth, and the splash damage was horrific in certain settings.

And I'm glad I went operative as opposed to commando. Here's why:

Sbe gur svany svtug, Jerk'f ovbgvpf jrer arne jbeguyrff hayrff V tbg yhpxl jvgu n fgnfvf be n jnec. I won't recount them, because we all know what they are. I think it is a testament to how limiting the 360 can be at times. The PC version of this game would/could/hopefully will not suffer from this myriad of issues.

There were some very obvious plot points, but the game played out like a well written Sci-Fi cinematic experience. By far the most fun I've had playing a game this year.

And, ultimately, even though I hope for a PC version, this game makes me just absolutely freaking giddy over what Dragon Age could be.
