Dmitry Rogozin may be in some trouble in Russia

I would have assumed that Rogozin concluded he reached for power and ultimately could not hold it, but he must surely be well-off enough he could put his head down and go crash in his dacha in retirement. Wouldn't you think?

I certainly have little respect for Rogozin, but I don't think he's a completely abject fool. It says something interesting about internal politics that he wants to be anywhere near that clusterfuck.

He has Big Giuliani Energy, which implies a significant degree of foolishness.

There’s a breed of people who can’t figure out when to quit.

"Prigozhin also took a gratuitous shot at the quality of Russian rockets and satellites during Rogozin's tenure at Roscosmos, which lasted from May 2018 to July 2022, and saw several high-profile failures."

"Hahaha, don't we suck at advanced tech?" is an odd attempt at a burn.

The West: "Yup, you sure do!"
Russians: "Yup, we sure do..."

At least they properly sized the helmet this time.

Rogozin's uniform isn't the only problem he's tangled up in:

Rogozin claims that Russians once considered Nazi Germany their brotherly nation.

(Incidentally, Julia Davis' translations of Russian state media is both astonishing and shocking when you witness the propaganda the Russian people are subjected to. It makes America's Fox News seem like Sesame Street. Highly recommended for those trying to understand Russia's gestalt.)

I don't think he has much choice; he's on the US sanctions list, which makes it quite difficult for him to leave Russia with his money and retire quietly in Chile or Malaysia or Belize. And while he's in Russia he pretty much has to do what Putin asks him to, and Putin doesn't want him to retire quietly.
