Honestly, I'm just sick and tired of hearing about anything to do with COVID. I'm very much looking forward to the next doom and gloom panic hysteria that strikes the world.
what ?
you’re not enjoying the DEI / Tran Kids debacle in US ?

that seems like the kind of ignorant bullshit that would be right up your back alley

Where do people like you even come from? Seriously? What broke in your brain?
They intentionally use the language science and statistics to attack because most people don't speak the language of science/stats. If you report there is a "non-significant risk" or "no significant risk" they'll respond by saying "sO yOu ArE sAyInG tHeRe'S a RiSk?!?!?" and if you shift the language to "non-existent risk" (basically the same thing), they'll respond like the OP.

Bold claim. Non-existent risk! I bet it's closer to "We don't know, but the benefits likely far outweigh risks". Medicine is a PRACTICE after all. Not an assertion.
That is why studies are done. In this case the study is completed and if we can learn from the results. It's only the refusal to do so that creates the confused state you find yourself in.

Lets call it what it is. Saying the "trans kid debacle" lets them off easy. Its the pro teen suicide pogram.
Republicans have always been pro lgbtq suicide.

Is "hysteria" a requirement for your joy? Because I think you'll be overjoyed if you can compromise on that word. You'll have lots and lots of doom-and-gloom panic coming soon; if you can work with that, you're gonna be thrilled.

It's really annoying how hard it is to get absolute numbers out of a study. The study says the risk of long COVID is anywhere from 1-3%, so vaccination reduces that risk to

.43% to 1.29% for single symptom long covid
.27% to .81% for multi-symptom long covid

This was after one series of two-dose vaccines. It'd be interesting to see how long the protection lasts.

Of out curiosity, how many clinical trial sponsors are you registered with, how many times in the last 5 years have you been screened for clinical trials, and how many have you participated in/are participating in? (noting that a volunteer is generally only approved for one at a time, or at least on per category {e.g. vaccine})

We have them in Canada too. Andrew Wakefield (may he burn in Hell) is a Brit. Assuming that stupidity respects borders is dangerous.
Andrew Wakefield, former Dr. Wakefield, wasn’t stupid. He was offered lots of money to find evidence for a connection between vaccines and autism, so he made up the evidence. Which is why he isn’t a Dr. anymore. Not stupid, but greedy.

Huh. I wouldn't have thought that a report that sales fell in Europe by 45% in January would make a dent in the stock price.

(An earlier report said 8% in Europe, and a big number in France specifically. But that report was apparently wrong, it was a big number in all countries.)

I think there's a teensy-weensy chance that Elon Musk is detrimental to tesla's brand image...

I can't find the post now so this may well be wrong, but in Europe Tesla sales are down something like 45% but EV sales in general were up 30-something %

That's bad.

Did you just "well ahckshually" to point out that medical treatments have risk?

You can get an infection from a bandaid if you don't clean the wound properly. Infection is a risk when using bandaids.

Literally ALL medical treatments carry some risk and no one is suggesting otherwise.

I bet you actually think this is clever, don't you. I can't imagine the level brain sludge needed to think something like this is clever.
They thought they were clever for pointing out the definition of medicine.

Imagine how dumb you must be to think other people can't have come to that conclusion on their own.

Dumb people very often think the rest of the world misses very, very basic points. It's really just them being ignorant, coming to a very basic revelation and then assuming because other people aren't talking about it, that they must not have thought of it themselves.

In reality their "clever revelations" are just basic facts everyone else already knew and assumed. That's why they weren't talking about them.

If the US is getting rid of health education, health research and health vetting... does that mean that vaccines could just re-brand as homeopathy or supplements and carry on without any issues?
A thoroughly 'Murican solution, which we should go for. Just as long as the manufacturers remain GMP, and not supplement shit-sloppy.

Oh, you can still wank, but you're prohibited from getting an erection. In order to ensure a loose noodle, you'll need a picture book featuring Donald Trump and Marjorie Taylor Greene together in intimate acts.
Gee...thanks for that...fortunately I suffer anaphasia so I won't have an imiginary image of that burned into my brain, like forever

from his libel case
72]

(i) [Wakefield] spread fear that the MMR vaccine might lead to autism, even though he knew that his own laboratory had carried out tests whose results dramatically contradicted his claims in that the measles virus had not been found in a single one of the children concerned in his study and he knew or ought to have known that there was absolutely no basis at all for his belief that the MMR should be broken up into single vaccines.

(ii) In spreading such fear, acted dishonestly and for mercenary motives in that, although he improperly failed to disclose the fact, he planned a rival vaccine and products (such as a diagnostic kit based on his theory) that could have made his fortune

(iii) Gravely abused the children under his care by unethically carrying out extensive invasive procedures (on occasions requiring three people to hold a child down), thereby driving nurses to leave and causing his medical colleagues serious concern and unhappiness

(iv) Improperly and/or dishonestly failed to disclose to his colleagues and to the public that his research on autistic children had begun with a contract with solicitors who were trying to sue the manufacturers of the MMR vaccine(v) Improperly or dishonestly lent his reputation to the International Child Development Resource Centre, which promoted to very vulnerable parents expensive products for whose efficacy (as he knew or should have known) there was no scientific evidence

In December 2006, Deer released records obtained from the Legal Services Commission, showing that it had paid £435,643 in undisclosed fees to Wakefield for the purpose of building a case against the MMR vaccine.[73] Those payments, The Sunday Times reported, had begun two years before publication of Wakefield's paper in The Lancet.[63]Within days of Deer's report, Wakefield dropped all his libel actions[74] and was ordered to pay all defendants' legal costs.[75][76]

And he didn't have the decency to just overdose and spare the world his bullshit.
its a sad state of affairs when you can quantitatively say the world would be better if this person's mother drowned him as a baby. Yes, already countless thousands of people who suffered and died from diseases around the world would be live and healthy if RFK never existed, and he's barely started warming up.

At least he never loses his keys.

Or maybe there's a joke in there about neurodivergence and energy levels, but I just don't have the bandwidth today.
Remember the Magnetic doctor, who managed to show that Covid vaccines make non-magnetic materials stick to vaccine-magnetized people? As the audience was Ohio State legislators, it was a complete success. At least RFK Jr required brain worms to reach his current degree of idiocy, whereas some people can be that stupid spontaneously.

Unfortunately, I have a good visual imagination, and bleaching the eyeballs does not work to scrub the imagery. Although I have heard from some stable genius that bleach cures ocular Covid.

“Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, and open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly since he believes in words."
- Sartre.

Just as in 1932 when the fascists won big the last time they simply can't fucking wait to declare all of objective reality ideologically unsound. Neither words nor facts matter to them. All that does is inflicting grievance.

Ironically the best way for this to end is if all their leadership is as inept as the drivel they spout. In which case the US collapses completely as a country and even the dumbest dimbulb fence-sitter becomes painfully aware that not beating the fascists to death in the street ten years back means they themselves are now circling the drain along with their families.

If the fascist leadership is a little more competent than they appear to be the same outcome happens, but over a longer period of misery where they'll have time to build and use the camps.

Are you accepting or rejecting the thrust of this story which is to get your kids vaccinated?

No waffling. Pick a side.
Kid was always up to date on required and receives every recommended and updates.

Before January 20th I had gone to my PCP and received updates for everything I could as if I were traveling to a failed state country, even the MMR. No dice rolling here.

I hadn't noted that high of a rate of growth but ultimately it's neither here nor there. Those disastrous January deliveries will almost all have been ordered before Musk became President. February is when we start to see how many people went to the store after shit got real.

Nah. That wasn't the vaccines. That's fake news. Real health benefits come from colloidal silver and green coffee bean extract, not Bill Gate's autism-and-or-cancer-causing-for-some-reason 5G tracking chips. That is what dear leader tells us through his anointed emissaries, after all. And dear leader would never, ever, under any circumstances, lie to us. All glory to dear leader!

Share price currently just under $303, down almost $28 ( just over 8.3%) on the day.

May it continue to fall.
