HBO’s The Last of Us S2E2 recap: Andrew did not see that coming

This is my issue with anyone defending the doctors actions. They aren't innocent, they're kidna operating like a Unit-731 or doctor Mengele. Which is total BS in my opinion that folks would defend these doctors actions. I get the whole "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few" to a...

Lavish The Rings of Power S2 trailer debuts at San Diego Comic-Con

For a humorous take, there's this guy who always makes me chuckle. Pitch Meeting Personally I look at Rings of Power as an example of what happens when you have basically an unlimited budget but no real understanding of the lore or respect of it. They just want to make money and lots of it...

2022 iPhone SE review: Revving up a classic hot rod

Awesome, I've had my SE for what five years now? Six? Anyhow I was thinking that Apple would soon stop supporting it with iOS updates. So perfect timing.

Qualcomm promises three years of Android updates for its entire SoC lineup

I was a big Windows phone person and when I finally had to give up on that platform due to Microsoft's missteps I did my homework. The Android environment is a shit show, the lack of decent support, and the malware infested app store made me decide to go iPhone. I'm still using an iPhone SE I...

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. takes final bow with high-octane journey through time

That wasn't apparent from the article or picture. I just re-checked and I've not seen the episodes to know. Hence my post.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. takes final bow with high-octane journey through time

Attention to detail and accuracy the author claims and then I read that Daisy is working for the CIA in 1931... Fifteen years before the founding of the CIA. I've enjoyed the show off and on over the previous six seasons but I feel it could have been better than it was.

Study ranks Edge’s default privacy settings the lowest of all major browsers

For Chrome Jon's talking about "Autofill", correct? I keep all of that off and couldn't find a "Autocomplete" section under Chrome Settings.

iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max: Hands-on with Apple’s new phones

Guess I'm keeping my SE another year. (sigh)

Ars on your lunch break: Let’s talk about the extinction of humanity

Can some sort of indication be given on the main site, so that I know it's a podcast article and not an article to read. Like how you all mark the video articles or something.

Fiat Chrysler teams up with self-driving startup Aurora

More and better public transportation systems, not self driving cars is the answer.

Charter data use “rising rapidly” as cord cutters average 400GB a month

Been with Charter for 19 years and they've yet to charge me for data. (shrugs) It could happen but honestly I think they use it as a selling point due to the others having them and so aren't likely to change that.

Windows 10 May 2019 update blocked for anyone using USB or SD storage

Maybe like some of us he's going off of Microsoft's success of updating 1803 to 1809? I know I'm not the only one who watched that failed install repeatedly and still can't get one of my systems to update/upgrade to it.

The Nissan Kicks—an odd name but a decent little crossover

Hehe! Ok, thanks for replying as to why you don't like the hidden C pillar. I'd swear that I never read a clear reason why. "Floating roof", doesn't bother me but now I at least understand why you don't care for it. :)

The Nissan Kicks—an odd name but a decent little crossover

Someday Jonathan Gitlin has to go into detail about why he has this whole reaction to hidden C pillars because I don't recall him ever going into detail as to why he reacts to it the way he does. Currently when I read his comments on hidden C pillars I end up rolling my eyes like when I read Ron...

How a toaster oven helped me learn to stop worrying and love the Internet of Things

As I read this article and the writer made light of the fact that installing this app could potentially be weakening her own security I felt that some where Dan Goodin was face palming. Megan, it's not that people can see what your cooking, it's that you've now installed yet another vector into...

Overcooked 2 world-premiere hands-on: Crazier levels, more speed, finally online

Ok, so I'm missing what "is" a new game changing mechanic? I've never played the game and maybe I'm just a bit too tired that I missed it but I read the article and didn't really see anything that leaped out as "a new game changing mechanic". I also looked and read the slides and didn't see...

iTunes is, at last, in the Microsoft Store

Yeah, it's a total piece of crap software. Sadly if you have an iPhone like many of us do, you have to deal with it.

Menacing Android botnet still thrives 16 months after coming to light

About sums up how my wife and I feel. We did though freeze our credit after Equilfax hit. We just decided enough is enough. Freeze it. We'll do temp unfreezes when we need to do a large purchase and then re-freeze. Worth the cost.

The legislative fight over loot boxes expands to Washington state

Watching Rep. Chris Lee talking to these Luddites is quite painful. How can these people represent their people and be so utterly clueless with the technology that's been around for decades and is commonplace? I give props to Lee for trying, he's got more patience than I.
