so anybody can get away with saying anything they like because it was a 'joke'? nonsense.
Yes! Anybody should be able to "get away" without getting physically assaulted when the person is there to make jokes. If people find the jokes offensive, they will stop laughing, boo, and make other responses such as not inviting performer back, demanding apologies, boycott his appearance, and so on but none of that has to involve punching the person in the face.
It's really strange and worrisome how many people in this comment section want to defend Will Smith acting violently. Smith could've just gone Kanye and pointed out his wife's condition or voiced his displeasure and discomfort, or act more sane and talk about it later during his acceptance speech or after the show. There are so many things he could've done but he chose to walk to Rock and attack him.
