I remember him more for the Microprose simulators he helped develop. F-15 Strike Eagle and Silent Service were the first two video games I ever bought.

I can't say I'm very good at Civ games anymore. I do like the one unit per tile of Civ V and the sprawling cities of Civ VI. I typically play on the easiest setting while half-drunk, so that may be part of my problem.
