Oh Verizon. Unlimited != unlimited. Gigabit != gigabit. Never change.
I think 940Mbps is close enough with the overhead. Plus that's about the limit of even my own gigabit LAN with my current set of hardware and I'm sure it's similar with most other people's LAN.
