Trump administration attempt to gut Endangered Species Act hits roadblock

Wow, if it's not Iranian school girls, it's endangered species. Is there anything Trump won't attempt to murder for no good reason?
Oh, they absolutely have a good reason, and that reason is spelled “money.” That’s how our society rewards people.

It’s called incentive.

I don't care whether it's a full on nuclear war or giant asteroid; the human animal needs to be erased.
I agree entirely with the anger at these shitheads doing shithead things, but not the call for slaughter. Would you and your family like to jump-start the erasure, or will you be relying on other people and their families to do it first?

No because it would make exactly 0 difference.

Now if I get a Thanos glove then good bye stupid apes. You had a chance and were found unworthy.

They've killed more people, it just took a couple white folk for anyone to pay any attention for more than 15 seconds.

“Without protections for habitats and wildlife, the economic value of our natural resources to visitors will be greatly diminished,” the letter read. “Weakening the ESA would harm Florida’s wildlife and environment, as well as our communities and economy.”

And you can hear it whenever they talk.
They don't care about the environment, they don't care about wildlife.
They care about the ECONOMIC VALUE those thing bring to them.
These fuckers actually have the gall, and the lack of understanding to look at Mother Nature and go "what have you done for me lately".

How does a vegan ethically get B12 into their diet?
Not that you actually care about the answer, but there are lots of foods that are fortified with B12, like nutritional yeast, plant-based milks, breakfast cereals, etc. The B12 added to these foods is produced by bacterial fermentation.

Will there ever be a time when humans don't speedrun destroying the environment?

I don't care whether it's a full on nuclear war or giant asteroid; the human animal needs to be erased.
Oh, don't worry. We're ALREADY doing it to ourselves in the most painful possible manner.

Don't need to speed-run it. It's a work in progress. And with the way mankind tends to be during periods of strife and deprivation, the end will come soon enough.

Yeah I just don't get it. Look outside, see how brown the air is? MOAR COAL!!! Can't drink the water MORE CHEMICALS!. Nature? BURN IT DOWN FOR PROFIT!!

WTF is wrong with this species is beyond me.

Remember that time in the 1970s?

There were a couple oil shocks in the 1970s? The USA and Europe had both become reliant on middle east oil--because it was lighter weight and much cheaper to extract and refine. Then. oil shocks. Oil supply only went down 4%, but the entire world lost its mind because of how dependent the US had lead the world into being on petro products. The USA and EU reacted with fuel conservation measures that worked--like the 55MPH speed limit, like investing in renewable energy, like mandating cars hit fuel efficiency targets. It also react with a lot of woo--like right/left-turn-on-red suddenly being made legal--the theory being that less time stopped is less gas burnt; which TLDR was debunked and also affirmatively massively increased pedestrian injuries/deaths....

As soon as the fuel crisis was over, which coincided with Reagan taking over.... The USA repealed ALL that stuff. Well except the right/left-on-red thing and CAFE. Reagan became famous for ripping the solar panels off the White House. Nothing more American than declaring "crisis over, no need to raise a finger to improve things".

2026?

Trump not only, by himself, creates an oil shock...he isn't even waiting until the oil shock is over before increasing oil dependence. It is even more dumb when you think about it. And I'm just myopically focusing on money and economics--not environmental impact.

A side note that is important. "Stagflation" was a word created in the 1970s, as hitherto economists didn't really think it was possible. Those economists (Keynesian) were tarred-and feathered in the USA...and their getting it so incredibly wrong....paved the way for the Chicago School to take over in the USA and Keynsians to be made a pejorative domestically, and supply-side economics which haunts us to this day. Everyone views everything as a supply-problem in the USA now. Oil dependence is a supply problem, unaffordable R1 housing is a supply problem, workers not being able to afford living is a supply problem of just needing to raise wages.

I've already been beaten to it, but... seriously? Are they trying to be Captain Planet villains?
Who looked at the calendar and decided that Earth Day would be the best possible time to gut the endangered species act?

Emotional 5 year olds in 20+ yo bodies. Again.

I doubt it. I saw a quote from Ron DeSantis a couple months ago stating how he is proud of his record of passing legislation that among other things sticks it to liberals. Imagine using taxpayer resources to purposely pass legislation that is designed to punish many of your citizens for no other reason than because the way they vote.
How about they name part of the Keys the "Ron DeSantis Extinct and Former Coral Reef"? His name deserves to go down in history for some of his stances.

Ain't it great that they also call themselves "Christians!" I'll bet they haven't read enough of their own Bibles to understand just how well Jesus Christ and money mix. Their pastors probably skip those parts while in the pulpit, though they'd probably have to skip just about everything Jesus said in order to stay on the Republican message.

You obviously haven't met the Prosperity Gospel. Their pastors are very much preaching about money, but in the manner of Republican Jesus.
