First Red Core EP experiment = super meh
Thank you for your efforts - saves me the grind. We both knew this was a reach, but my creative juices have been flowing over this latest update to clean up my builds. One thing that I can safely say I was impressed with is how good my old, forgotten Heartbreaker builds are now for this event. Running a 4/2/1 with a Sokolov vest with Intimidate and the named Matador bag with Perfect Adrenalin Rush. Weapons are the Kingbreaker AR (G-rolled, DtTooC and 15 expertise) and an ACS-12 with Close and Personal. I like the RnR here as well, but that 35% WD after a kill sure makes me smile too. Skills are a crusader shield and the artificer hive to heal the shield. I can tank Krampus and allow the rest of the squad to burn him down and then we work over the minions inside.
I made one for my buddy (the one who takes numerous dirt naps), and he was quite pleased. Also a 4/2/1, but runing Firewall instead of Technician for the armor kits and striker shield dmg bonus. Same weapons, but I put Future Perfect on his ACS-12 so any weapon kills adds to his shield strength. He no longer takes dirt naps, and we routinely do heroic Krampus bounties with no issues.
I liked the build so much I recreated it on another char, but wanted to try and bring the Ouroboros closer to its former glory, so I slapped a Centurions Scabbard holster on the build. Now, depending on how I switch weapons, the Oro gets either a 75rd mag and 50% reload speed or 20% RoF and 20% dmg boost. I had forgotten how fun HB was, and the last time I used it before this event, I was greatly disappointed in how it worked.
Another build I revisited and have a renewed interest in -
Umbra with a rifle !! Yea, I know - that makes no sense, but this build uses 3pc Umbra with the Eagles Grasp gloves (15% weapon handling) and Foxes Prayer kneepads (DttooC), and the NBBP to unlock both 2nd brand perks for each - 2nd pc of Overlord gives 30% accuracy and 2nd piece of Zwiadowka Sp gives 20% rifle damage. Using an ACR SS here, with Killer as the talent. This thing is meant to just sit in cover and dish out dmg - its a laser with all of that weapon handling on it, and the Eagles Grasp gloves even offer a larger mag size to boot. And once you DO need to pop out of cover, you are dealing out a LOT of damage with an increased RoF. I use an M1A with Boomerang for the secondary, taking advantage of it being a rifle and gaining all the WD bonuses for it, and it was the rifle that I used when I did my first raid over 5+ years ago, so it has sentimental value to me.
