I haven't logged in for months now, since around the time the forums shut down. I just got burnt out on the non-stop events.

Even on life support I'd still recommend the game to new players since there's 15 years of story episode content to play through will all of the series through Discovery except Lower Decks and Enterprise. They can experience it all without spending a dime, or spend a bit for uniforms and a ship from their favorite era.

The Welcome Back event gets you a free character slot and Vanguard Jem'Hadar unlock and is available on PC and consoles.

STO is one of the most generous F2P games out there and worth playing if you like the shows and can put up with dated graphics. Especially DS9 for the Jem'Hadar character since you get to say hello to a bunch of the cast who are the real voice actors.

Well then. You know what they say about gambling, Rule of Acquisition #216, never gamble with a telepath. Well there musta been a telepath helping me tonight cause I pulled a T6 Promo Ship Choice Pack! Never gotten anything big like this before. I bought a 4xDuty Officer pack for my new Orion and this popped out. Almost silly for him cause he's happy with his Orion carrier.

So now I gotta figure out whether to keep it for a specific ship or sell it. Within minutes of the announcement hitting the server someone reached out to me asking to buy it off me. Time to do some research.....
Nice! I got a promo pack once out of one of those Anniversary (I think) giveaways of 4-5 R&D packs, which got my TOS captain his T6 Connie. It's been years but I think it was before the year-long meta events started so it was the only way to get a promo ship besides spending cash on the gamble boxes.

Other than that, my luck with gambling is terrible in general so it's a good thing I'm not an addict.
