Person of Interest remains one of the smartest shows about AI on television

Murdered by the network because it's too much good sci-fi and not enough fill in the blanks cop show. Though even when it was masquerading as a cop show (or a spy show) it was better than most on television.

And yes if you're going to watch it, take the time to watch from the beginning. You miss a lot if you try to shortcut and watch 'relevant' episodes. And even their filler is good TV.

One of the best shows on TV at the moment. Really disappointed that CBS is killing it. From what I hear it's due to network politics between CBS and Warner Bros (who make the show).

Also, minor nit-pick - Carter dies in the middle of Season 3 (episode 9).

If you're the marathoning type, you might want to wait until the end of this current, and last season before you get started. If not, then yeah dive right in on Netflix.

I don't know... I would have liked to see it go on--it's the only show I've ever purchased all the seasons of--but I'd rather it end cleanly. Also, I'm not really sure where they can go after concluding this story arc that wouldn't just seem anti-climatic.

The thing I've loved about this show is that the tech references have, for the most part, made sense. (I'm a computer programmer.) I've never seen a mainstream show actually try before. I work in the financial sector, and their financial lingo has been spot-on too. It's been a great change from the writing of most shows.

I liked the first couple of seasons before it went full-on Deus Ex, then it got too confusing for my tastes. Certainly better than most of what's out there though, especially for avoiding the computers-are-magic junk that shows and movies usually go for.

edit: Also, totally agreed that ending the series before it jumps the shark is good and something that far more shows should do.

Yeah I've said it for years, the best Sci-Fi show on TV started off as a rather bland police procedural and turned into something incredibly fun and thoughtful. I can't wait to see how season 5 goes! Such a pity it is ending.

I really enjoyed the character development. Harold has a pretty awesome backstory, which the series takes its time fleshing out. I really enjoyed how the creators of the show tied John and Harold's lives together using the AI as a central figure. It's hard to really express without spoiling anything, but if nothing else, the creators of the show do an excellent job of demonstrating the butterfly effect.

While I am prepared to accept I don't know everything about Marvel and X-Men, I am pretty sure I can safely say you know nothing about X-Men as you should have said "Professor X".

Good stories, good acting, increasing thought provocation.
Great stories and mixed acting. Fusco is good, Carter is great, Shaw is great, Root is great...Finch and John get better...but they don't offer up very good performances.

That hasn't stopped this show from from being one of my very favourites. I *love* this show.

The Machine is not going to like that post...

Of course it won't, but Samaritan will do something about the "undesirable" that posted it.

This is a show that you really have to binge watch. The plotting is intricate and very long-term; the way subtle details suddenly have new significance shows (or sometimes seasons) down the road is amazing. This has been - easily - the best show on television during its run. And you won't get it all if you watch a show or two a week, unless you have a far better memory than I do. (Well, that's not impossible....)

This is the kind of show that makes buying discs worthwhile. As someone above mentioned, even the worst episodes are better than almost anything else. And every time you re-watch a season, you will pick up new things.

IMHO, of course. 8>)

edit: Of course I can spel.

I love this show almost as much as Better Call Saul... But if it weren't for Michael Emerson and the cool take on warring AIs, it would be pretty forgettable. Each character has great moments, don't get me wrong, but there are also more than a few filler episodes, and some are *stupid* filler at that.
Anyhow, been looking forward to the show coming back, hoping the shortened season means less crap.

You would also like Mr. Robot. It's perhaps even more complex and nuanced than POI, and is very realistic when it comes to technology and social engineering. They are by far my two favorite shows of the current decade.
