Elon Musk, Twitter’s next owner, provides his definition of “free speech”

We don't fear free speech. We worked with social media to shut down incineraty, hateful, racist comments. We got tech companies to moderate their sites to prevent people from being harassed, regardless of the reason.

Not really. You leveraged technology companies to restrict and block content that you deemed antithesis to your way of thinking--under the guise of safety and security. It's absurd, at best.
Ouch, a new one! Where do they keep crawling up from?!? Old socks?

You know, if you really feel that triggered and insecure, we have a five-step program for that!
They really aren't sending their best. Between the China/Russia apologists and this crop, it's not even stimulating.

A lot of people got banned. Some like Pewdiepie got their account back but again, being censored over a tiny spicy comment is stupid and not democratic at all.

So. Question. You hold a party at your house. I come over. Your kids are there. Do you believe it is wrong for you to ask me to stop talking about sex, and cussing loudly in front of your kids?
No not really, but I don't see where you're trying to get at with this. Unlike Twitter, my house is not a social media nor a place for everyone to interact. I'm not claiming to be the place where "your voice matter". So what's your point again?

So what part of your opinions can't be heard on Twitter right now? You still haven't said.

Does it happen to involve billionaire leftist bankers who are always sticking their big noses in where they don't belong?
It's not just about me, Musk's poll asking people whether the site adhered to the principle of free speech returned a big NO.

Lol, a biased poll like that is useless. Only Musk's followers are likely to vote on it, and they wouldn't be following him if they didn't agree with him already. It's not representative of the whole user base.

But you don't care about democracy, only security. And sadly, you need protection from words, so you're security needs are gigantic.

It would help if you would cite specific examples of things you want to say but feel you can't. You have yet to do so.

Or you could just continue to act like a third-rate Citizen Smith if you want. Your call.

Well, the Hunter Biden laptop comes to mind.

It has its own hashtag. Next?

I'm short, fat, I'm in my forties, I'm not white and I don't have much testosterone really.

Your physical attributes are a matter of supreme indifference to us.

On the contrary, I am fascinated to learn that he views being non-white as a sign of weakness.

You tried to call me impotent, which was desperate and embarasaing for you.

You seem awfully triggered by the word 'impotent'.

Clinging to this one insult?

Well, that is the best you got. It is interesting that so many of the attacks on me are claiming I am hypersensitive.

I assure you that I take none of you seriously. You are sadly all fanatical and reactionary.

I will give away some of my actual weak spots to see what you can do with them. Lets see what you can manage.

I'm short, fat, I'm in my forties, I'm not white and I don't have much testosterone really.

Your age, race, and appearance aren't your weak spots. I can also assure you that no one will make fun of them here. The testosterone thing wasn't even a shot at whatever your actual hormone levels are, because those are irrelevant, it was you being the manly badass bro calling everyone virgins. It's the views that are fair game, you chose those.

You aren't going to get banned for posting more third-rate fiction about a private citizen.

Again, what is it *you* want to say on Twitter that you feel you cannot?

That was just an example of a joke comment being censored, it doesn't make me pro ISIS in any way, trying to corner me with that pointless argument is comically sad.

Well you haven't given any other examples yet, so that leaves me to judge your argument on the basis of you being upset that Twitter wasn't letting ISIS members post propaganda.

That's it, apparently. That's the one thing you can think of that you wish you could post on Twitter and can't, is pro-ISIS sympathies.

Weird.

I'm sure if I look on Twitter right now, I could find a bazillion tweets about the laptop.

Look in the spoiler for some examples from just this week:
So obviously that's not being censored on Twitter.

It's not just about me, Musk's poll asking people whether the site adhered to the principle of free speech returned a big NO.

So this is your chance to speak for all of them. What speech do you currently feel unable to express on Twitter?

So far all you've come up with is that you feel it's unfair that Twitter doesn't let ISIS propagandize.

As I say, kudos for unintended originality in that response. I'm guessing it won't last.

That was just an example of a joke comment being censored, it doesn't make me pro ISIS in any way, trying to corner me with that pointless argument is comically sad.
So you're really not able to give any examples of what you're dying to say on Twitter that you can't say right now?

Are you suggesting he would be offended by me using the wrong gendered pronoun?

If so he needs to grow a pair or run to a safe space, I guess.

I had already guessed this but it's good to have it on the record.

On the record! Save it for later!
So... how is not being white a weakness, according to your own words?

It was during the election, which was when it mattered.

So, defenders of democracy, please explain why that was actually good for democracy.

That story is mostly BS, and was entirely BS at the time. Even Fox News didn't run with it.

He said he is buying Coca Cola next and putting cocaine back in it. Now the libs have a reason to support him too.
No we don't. (Also... "libs"? Really? Grow up.)
Relax, why so serious?. You guys may have lost Twitter but still have Reddit and FB to go virtue signal on.

I'm curious. What is the one thing you are most excited about being allowed to do on Twitter under Musk that you aren't now "because of the libs"?
Speak freely without being censored or be jumped on by oversensitive morons?

And what specifically can you not say there now, or for that matter, here?

That's not what you said. You just said that discussion of Hunter Biden's laptop was being censored on Twitter. I found evidence to the contrary. Moving the goalposts doesn't do you any favors. And the New York Post wasn't censored... they could still print newspapers and articles on their own website about the laptop.

I find it amazing that you can dismiss something so outrageous so easily. You are not a serious person.

The burden of proof is on you muppets. Something that's claimed without evidence can be dismissed without argument.

And yet you're willing to turn a blind eye to Trump's own kids making a neat mint while their father was president and they were part of the White House staff themselves.

Guys. I happen to have "I'm Tom Hanks, or am I" laptop and after he abandoned it after refusing to pay for my work fixing it, I searched around and found his documents and receipts for fixing multiple elections for not only Trump, but for Vladimir Putin as well. I've tried turning the laptop in to the FBI, but they keep hanging up on me.

That said, I mean, moving the goalposts is pretty pathetic. You should try and stop doing that.

Not the whole maybe but a big chunk of it. Minorites deserve their voice represented anyway, don't they?

Assuming for the sake of argument that right wing provocateurs are a minority, not when they're pushing misinformation that can swing an election on a platform that acts as a giant megaphone.

Meghan Murphy, a Canadian feminist writer and journalist. She was banned from Twitter for tweeting against transgender people, all she said is "Men aren't women".

So she was banned for being transphobic.

Good.
