...threw me off for a sec. The $249 sale price is for 32GB
The 512gb micro as from Samsung looks like a great deal but I’ve sworn off purchasing digital storage online after the 3rd fake I got.
Looks like the seller is hit or miss from the reviews of legit and fake. Just know how to spot the differences and be ready to send back if you go for one.
Remember, storage media is a self diminishing pricing model so in time these will be $20 in a bargain bin at a brick and mortar store too. I remember when full size 8gb camera Sd cards were $60 on Black Friday. The prices will come down..in time.![]()
The one MicroSD type you can always count on not being fake is the green Samsung's from Amazon, since they are an Amazon-exclusive version of their regular cards - just... greener. The 512gb micro as from Samsung looks like a great deal but I’ve sworn off purchasing digital storage online after the 3rd fake I got.

It's sold by Amazon itself... I'm pretty sure that if it's sold by Amazon, they'd stand behind that it's not a fake.
A better way is to get the item from a store like Best Buy that will price match Amazon. They'll honor the sale price (or they'll likely be running the same sale themselves), and you get a legit item. It's sold by Amazon itself... If it's available from other vendors and fufilled by amazon, you can get fakes in, even if Amazon also sells it themselves. It's happened to me twice now with electronics and once with a rifle scope.

I think they are called "Evo Select", instead of "Evo Plus", or something like that, anyway, but they are definitely green (with a little grey), and definitely fast (I forget exactly how SD cards above Class-10 are classified, but it's either a U1 Level 3, or U3 - the kind with the U with a 3 in it on the card anyway; I feel like it should be the latter, but also vaguely remember reading an article about people mistakenly calling them that, and that they are all just different grades of U1... Enough to melee my head spin).
Reading over what I just wrote, I realize that it is about as vague as you can get, and if I wasn't sick and bedridden, I'd go dig one up now (I bought like 20-something of them, ranging from 32GB to 256GB, during last Black Friday), but am sadly somewhat immobile.
But they are definitely easy to find on Amazon, as they are generally the best-selling, and one of the top-rated, cards on there - since you mentioned holding off, I'd wait for Prime Day in July, as they should have better prices then than even Black Friday (It took all my will power not to grab one of the super-cheap 4K TVs, but I'm hoping the new HiSense H9F's coming out in a few weeks will be discounted for Prime Day).
