Several (Conservative) sites reposted that Elon had released some stats from Twitter showing higher sign ups and lower reports of confirmed negative posts.
I have to wonder how the negative posts get reported. Likely by the moderation team? He pretty much wiped out the moderation staff in many countries.
I think we all know at this point it doesn't matter if he gets higher sign-ups if he has no possible way of telling who has done the following:
1) Disabled notifications for the app on their phone
2) Uninstalled the app on their phone
3) Is viewing but not posting
and of course the worst parts:
4) Who is either barely logging in, in maintenance or 'wait-and-see' mode heavily loaded up with ad/script blockers or has stopped using the service for longer than 30 days.
It's the latter metric he's going to get and stay blind to for the next few months and will only be able to compare to similar stats in similar months from the year prior to figure out if his conservative/libertarian fanbase can make up the difference with advertisers fleeing and regulators salivating over the prospect of ordering the IRS to garnish his corporate bank accounts.
