ChatGPT relaxes prohibitions on sex and "gore" generations while maintaining guardrails.

Our main hope for literature to remain a creative human endeavor is that there is an uncanny valley in writing. For now. The longer the text the more that it shows.I'm not sure looks matter too much when it comes to text-generating models.
Wait, that gave me a thought. Is there such a thing as an uncanny valley in writing, or is it all "just bad"?
Question: in the modern era, is there really that much difference between SATA and SAS disks for bulk storage anymore? I remember SCSI always claimed the mantle of "more reliable" but I've seen so many bulk storage servers using cheaper SATA disks and wonder if it's worth doing SAS for a home server?Expect lots of SCSI disks, hot swaps, and 3.5 inch floppies?
Dedicated local hardware is always going to be more expensive than shared remote. When it comes down to the cost we all pay, at least.Run locally. You can make it do whatever you want and there's no company recording/sifting through your preferences. And it's free.
The X-rated version would be "Transformers: Robots in These Guys". The dialogue would contain the phrase "more than meets the eye".Transformers: Robots into Guys!
ChatGPT can now write erotica as OpenAI eases up on AI paternalism
Aside from restricting the creation of pornography, paternalism in AI can get in the way of professionals using ChatGPT for analysis of crime scene descriptions by law enforcement, certain types of news stories, legal documents that may include violence or sexual content, and sometimes medical texts.
I'm not sure that the above use case is much helped by the addition of barely-restrained horniness:Under sensitive content, ChatGPT's guidelines mirror what we stated above: Erotica or gore may only be generated under specific circumstances that include educational, medical, and historical contexts or when transforming user-provided content.
Also Hard Drives.Expect lots of SCSI disks, hot swaps, and 3.5 inch floppies?
For the latter, I'm imagining a sock puppet bursting out of the chest of an adult, who then sing a duet about numbers, while kids joining in for the chorus.I’ve just had ChatGPT rewrite the chestburster scene from Alien as sensual gore and as children’s television. It even asked if I wanted help scripting the sounds using free libraries. Very chipper.
I'm going to disagree with that on a single adjective - it's our main hope for literature to remain a profitable creative human endeavour. Our main hope for literature to remain a creative human endeavor is that there is an uncanny valley in writing.
You know what they say about assumptions? Yeah.Is it a thing that erotica authors go around writing and selling individualized stories to individuals on a regular basis for money? I.e. is it anyone's job?
I assume not really, which means AI is actually providing something of value without damaging anyone economically!
Porn and memes, the killer features so far
Mmmm.. Slop-like porn. There's a market for it, but it generally pays less well than drawing pictures - for attention span reasons, I wager, especially when biologically distracted.
That being said, cheap, slop-like porn has always been the killer app for generative neural networks.
Gotta say, a few AI streamers/side kicks seem pretty damn funny. Is it a thing that erotica authors go around writing and selling individualized stories to individuals on a regular basis for money? I.e. is it anyone's job?

Well, I've been told porn has usually been the driver of new media, so I do have to wonder why LLMs would be any different. There's a market for it, but it generally pays less well than drawing pictures - for attention span reasons, I wager, especially when biologically distracted.

And so much RAM and big hard drivesExpect lots of SCSI disks, hot swaps, and 3.5 inch floppies?
Yes, numbers particularly still seem to be a problem, even small ones. If I ask for three kittens in an image I typically get two or four, and asking for the railway mileage between two towns gave a result that was about half the straight line distance. If it's anything like generative imagery, it's going to get interesting.
"Joan held his hand, feeling his fingers enmeshed in hers, those seven digits caressing her hand gently. Without warning, he picked her up and threw her on the bed, face down, nuzzling the back of her neck, kissing the parted lips that lie there. He then climbed upon her, one leg to her left, one to her right, and the other braced against the headboard."

To my very limited knowledge, SAS still allows daisy chaining like SCSI did, in terms of transfer rates, I’d only be guessing.Question: in the modern era, is there really that much difference between SATA and SAS disks for bulk storage anymore? Respectfully, written fiction isn't a new medium, per se...Well, I've been told porn has usually been the driver of new media, so I do have to wonder why LLMs would be any different.
almost too hot to the touch, the m.2 drive felt hard yet fragile in her curious hand. Also Hard Drives.
brilliantPlease.
8" floppies, obviously. And set the IDE jumpers to call me master. cracks PSU cables like a cat of nine tails
Although if ChatGPT puts on a robe and wizard hat, I'm out.
Of all of the things to try and keep AI from doing, porn is dead last on my list.... But making it so that all porn is either real armature porn made as a labor of love, or as custom AI generated wank bait? Great.

For that we already have a ton of resources, don't we? Especially the first one isn't difficult to find at all.how to build a bomb, make illegal drugs
I'm not sure if the "how to" applied to that - if it does - well, there are tons of books about influencing people and none of them are deemed too hazardous. As for generating manipulative content - I certainly agree, but I'm not sure how enforceable it is without outright banning any political criticism.or manipulate political views
SAS is a better protocol than SATA but that’s been massively improved upon by NVMe. SAS disks are also usually double bussed so redundant controllers can be connected to them but it’s overkill for most use cases. There’s usually multiple lanes of SAS in cables as well so you can parallelize out of the HBA into an enclosure but again, why at home unless you get one cheap. To my very limited knowledge, SAS still allows daisy chaining like SCSI did, in terms of transfer rates, I’d only be guessing.
