Two items I noticed immediately:
1) Where are the votes on article comments? I might still be missing something since the comment totals on the front page for all new articles are also empty, even after emptying the cache.
2) When switching pages, a the reply box is emptied. I like to click "reply" on a comment but then read to the end of the thread first to not duplicate information. Not a big deal, but particularly annoying on mobile where copy-paste can be finicky.

1. We've currently got voting disabled while we're working on a fix!
2. I've sent that info to the team

Thank you, the quick changes are awesome to see!

One more thing that is really quite minor/niggling, but I always liked how the front page comments blended in nicely with the no-clutter style of the articles. Just removing the CSS background brings them much more in line. Very subjective, I know. The one thing that might be more universal is that the link for the user post count happens to be in the same location as the old quote button, using the same symbol.

It also seems like heavily downvoted comments (>-30) are not being hidden by default anymore. In fact, it would be great to be able to set that limit stricter so that anything below a few downvotes is hidden - the Ars front page is already the only online comment section worth reading, that would make it perfect.

The 'fake' need to log in on the front page just now isn't a bug, it's from a fix that was recently pushed out. Should only be a one time thing and improve logins in general, but it did have that funny side effect. Any forum visit resolves is, so anyone reading this now should already be set.
I just got it several times in a few hours, visiting the forum each time inbetween.

Is there any timeline on getting heavily downvoted posts hidden on the front page? It really made article comments more bearable, as highlighted by the spam attack today.
