Why Americans aren’t buying more EVs

Then how come the streets are littered with shiny brand new SUVs with a higher TCO than something like a Bolt or Kona? Or pristine ultra -wide pickups that cost nearly double and clearly aren't being used for any work. Prices have risen, yes. But I bought my EUV for 33k about a year ago. You...

Why Americans aren’t buying more EVs

This. I tried buying an EV and they actively tried to dissuade me. Plus 3 of the dealerships in my area didn't even have one. Whenever I hear this "Shoving it down our throats" dude, I WANT one and I can't get one. Nobody's forcing anything on you!

Sony will soon demand Helldivers 2 players on Steam have PSN accounts

Ugh, Aurich you're just so short sighted. Age has made you think about things like "practicality", "functionally" and "reality." When the truth is more meta than that. The only thing people like more than building paragons is tearing them down. In reality, "fans" have been waiting for a...

Sound familiar? Song lyrics have gotten more repetitive since the 1970s.

Every time I hear this mentioned, and people in good faith ask which ones because they'd like to stop listening to those bands, never get a reply. I'm not confident it's real.

Sound familiar? Song lyrics have gotten more repetitive since the 1970s.

Depends on what you mean by harder. Since punk is all but dead (save from the occasional outlier like Rise Against), metal is one of the few of the major genres with any lyrical storytelling happening. I mean, sure. Popular metal bands like Avenged Sevenfold maybe go a little TOO far in the...

Sound familiar? Song lyrics have gotten more repetitive since the 1970s.

Are you talking about things like Lemon Demon, Mother Mother, etc? To me they remind me of a lazy take on Jim's Big Ego, They Might Be Giants, or Primus. Only with practically nothing as far as instrumentals go.

Sound familiar? Song lyrics have gotten more repetitive since the 1970s.

Have you listened to modern American Hardcore Punk? Again, I stress, MODERN. 2000 was 24 years ago and most definitely oldies and not modern.

Sound familiar? Song lyrics have gotten more repetitive since the 1970s.

One doesn't need duration to be poignant. Look at any Bad Religion song. Well, except their newer stuff. And I'm not just hating on it from a sound perspective. Their lyrics have fit this article to a T. They still have the same message as they've always had in their songs. They just do it...

Fall COVID shot uptake is an “abysmal” 7%; wastewater testing impaired

Almost everyone I know has had COVID since school started. Freaking germbuckets are spreading it like wildfire. As far as I understand, you can't get your shot if you've recently had COVID.

“Potential threat” shuts two Unity offices after per-install fee announcement

All the more reason for it being a tempting red herring to make a villain look like a martyr.

“Potential threat” shuts two Unity offices after per-install fee announcement

Maybe it's the complete breakdown of trust, but I seriously doubt this happened. They cancelled an update that could've been live streamed because their OFFICES were threatened? Yeah, no. This is them laying low.

Dog autism? 37% of US dog owners buy into anti-vaccine nonsense

Oh it's higher than that. That's just for THIS reason though

General Motors drops entry-level Blazer EV as deliveries begin

Bolt EUV has 4 seat heaters. Maybe not standard but I got mine used so I'm not sure the package it has. But yeah the seat hearing doesn't do much good if in the back my kids are frozen. I will say that carseats also make that feature a moot point for me. Ah well, one day.

General Motors drops entry-level Blazer EV as deliveries begin

Uhhh mach e and EUV are the same size. In fact, the EUV has more passenger space, albeit at the expense of a frunk. I test drove both. Went with EUV because it had considerably more leg room in the back.

General Motors drops entry-level Blazer EV as deliveries begin

Weird article. They're keeping the bolt. So what is the point of this car if it is redundant with the Bolt, a car people actually want?

Game tutorials should be easily skipped. Why is that so hard?

Sorry but Square Enix is WAAAAAY worse. "This is the 5th entry in a chronological series that has a convoluted AF story and there's absolutely no way anyone is or should jumping into this as their first entry. So anyway.... Here's an 8 hour tutorial on how to put your pants on your legs...

What is the Future of Live Service Gaming? How is it shaping our games?

Hell yeah it is. But that's also been the kind of game that has thrived on Gamepass. Though that is having your cake and eating it too

What is the Future of Live Service Gaming? How is it shaping our games?

I ignored multiplayer because there exists multiplayer across all those types of games. Multiplayer games aren't exclusively Live Service. And in fact many of the games I mentioned also have a multiplayer component to them. I guess Disney Dream light is Live Service Stardew... But it doesn't...

What is the Future of Live Service Gaming? How is it shaping our games?

Gamers can be divided into two major axis: Those who have more time than money (typically younger) to those who have more money than time. And those who seek extrinsic rewards and those who seek intrinsic rewards. The problem is that modern games hyper focus on a a certain demographic. In the...

AI-generated image of “explosion” near Pentagon goes viral, sparks brief panic

I wouldn't call this a deepfake. That image looks as much like the Pentagon as the spaghetti eating monstrosity looks like Will Smith. A highschooler could do a better job with Photoshop.
