utopia2[/url]":1qnqvuw5]The article makes it very clear that Aurich is threatened by what Marissa did here in a weekend and he should be.
Oh man, I was humoring you until this, now you're just being ridiculous. Good lord, I don't feel threatened in the slightest. Take your bizarre personal vendetta somewhere else please. Along the way you could maybe learn to read, and perhaps find some joy in life. Both would serve you well!
Aurich, i hope you're still reading this thread man.
It's a funny story—and easy to mock—but what I find offensive isn't the final result. It's not a great logo, but it was probably time for the brand to button up a little, hopping punctuation aside. And fine, lose the goofy letters for something a stone mason carved in marble. What gets me is the gleeful way Team CEO/Intern spent a weekend on this project and then called it done. The message my designer side cringes at is "anyone can do this, so why waste more than a weekend of fun on it?"
You don't feel threatened by this? You're gleefully tearing down someone else's creation. Your entire article is dripping with 'i'm superior' condescension and 'trust me on this, i know more about design than you do' desperation. My vendetta, if i have one, isn't against you it's against everything you stand for.
Look at what you wrote above, as if you and you alone are the ultimate authority on taste. You sit there on your throne and smugly judge a company that dares to create something they are proud of. Congratulations, you're the Joan Rivers of logo design. Quite an accomplishment.
And after all that you speak of joy un-ironically. As if you had any. You're a miserable pile of complexes telling people they're assholes and amateurs for putting things like 3d in their logo which was soooo 20 years ago when in 20 years from now when 3d logos are back in vogue you'll be changing your tune and telling everyone they're assholes because logos are supposed to have depth.
Let me conclude by saying that you are a blight on the world and you exist to exploit human's innate need to fit in.
(If you need proof of what i've written here, just re-read your article.)
