I worked for a Danish headquartered startup before. They fed us breakfast and lunch, the insurance was great, they have a hell of a social safety net, and the pork in Denmark was excellent. I’d also vote to let Massachusetts join Denmark.

I am reminded of the libertarian colleague I knew who ranted about high tax rates in Denmark, until asked to include the cost of his health insurance. That completely reversed the outcome: Americans do pay a bit less in taxes, but nowhere near what right-wing rentiers’ mythology would have you believe and our healthcare system is so inefficient that it’s like you get college education, safe retirement, etc. thrown in for free.
