Got it, and thanks. Maybe my memory of reading it was wiped out by the movie version. Mr. Dick deserved better. I admit I didn't see the remake, but haven't heard anything to suggest I invest the time to so do.
Arguably, the movie adaptation of Blade Runner was a more complete--albeit ambiguous--version of his novel on which it was based. He was a talented and influential writer.
