Even with all that.... "Asbestos-laden dust and debris from the White House demolition was dumped in a local park" ... and this is not hair on fire news! ... hit me with a new level of incredulity.
The media has been Trump's best friend since 2016. Not just FOX and Newsmax, even NYT and ostensibly liberal/left outlets, pundits, comedians, podcasters, etc have sanewashed his speech, projected their preferred policy positions onto him, and above all treated him as a serious person, while simultaneously refusing to actually report his scandals as such. How many times did we hear about Clinton's emails, or that she was the "Hawk" candidate while Trump was the "Dove"? It's utter insanity, and they do it because every day Trump gave them juicy new bits of clickbait.
They all love him because he's a ragebait generating machine to draw viewers. He makes them shitloads of money. Clinton didn't, and Biden didn't, so instead they relentlessly reported on her emails, Biden's son, and Biden's supposed fall into dementia. They turned these things into massive scandals by sheer volume and frequency of coverage, while Trump just gets one mention on whatever insane thing he does and then the media moves on. And even the freaking GOP congresscritters just get a free pass "I don't know", "I haven't heard about it", "It only just happened and I'm waiting for more information". The press won't hold these people to this crap, they just ask softball questions and never followup because God forbid a right wing snowflake in a position of power get his freaking fee-fees hurt.
