I want a non-humongous screen because I'm just going to stick it in a case, and I don't want the case to be ginormous. I'm using an HTC One S right now and it's in an Otterbox Commuter case. It felt positively small compared to my wife's SGS3 but then I hermetically sealed it and it's quite the bulge in my (non-skinny, normally-cut, fat-person-friendly) jeans.

My dad's got some sort of Verizon-branded Samsung flip-phone thing with a rugged exterior and it's supposed to survive a half hour in the lake. They're out there. Kind of rare, but you CAN find them.
