Their thought is to simply not give back power, so unfortunately they have been thinking that far.So they aren't funding grants so much as a secondary slush fund, completely under Trump's control. Got it.
And what do they think will happen when the Democrats regain the White House? (Or do they think that far?)
Their plan is the Dem's never will get back in office even if they win the vote.So they aren't funding grants so much as a secondary slush fund, completely under Trump's control. Got it.
And what do they think will happen when the Democrats regain the White House? (Or do they think that far?)
On the upside, creative writing is going to experience a phenomenal renaissance as applicants attempt to slip their proposals past the commissars. Not sure what the handwringing is about? All you have to do is be obedient!
Remember when we were against the unelected deep state functionaries?
Our group recently published our work in one of the Nature journals, with "open access" so anybody can download the paper without cost. It came as a bit of a shock when we had to pay $12,000 for the privilege. We knew we had to pay, but nobody actually checked how much exactly before investing a huge amount of time and work in the manuscript (multiple revisions, proofs, etc). We were at the stage of the final proof when we got the invoice. At that point we bit the bullet and didn't switch to another journal. Lesson learned, however...Excellent article. One minor correction: “Research journals [that are open access] generally require scientists to pay for the privilege of publishing there.”
Journals that are subscription-based are free to publish in, but it’s of course blurry now with hybrid journals accepting both open access and subscription-based submissions.
Are you saying God "got around?!". Oh my stars! How long until we see papers like "Jesus. Only son of God, or greatest son of God?"
Also, whatever your political ideology, please consider that Truth is still Truth. Science, bitches!
Oh, that’s exactly what’s happening here. The Trump administration has more in common with Mao than Hitler. So where do US academic institutes find the money to pay for their mandatory Political Officers from? Because, from the outside looking in, this all sounds like some real Cultural Revolution shit.
They are actively engineering ways to make sure that never happensSo they aren't funding grants so much as a secondary slush fund, completely under Trump's control. Got it.
And what do they think will happen when the Democrats regain the White House? (Or do they think that far?)
Its not simply stupid, it is helping eliminating the superpower status of the USA.The sheer amount of work these yutzes pour into trying to drag us back from 2026 to 1826 or earlier would be impressive if it wasnt terrifying, dangerous, and absurdly stupid
Some folk need to look up the definition of the word 'Grant'.
Also, whatever your political ideology, please consider that Truth is still Truth. Science, bitches!

Well I'm reminded of when WI elected Evers governor, unseating Scott Walker. Republicans stripped a bunch of powers from the office of the governor about a month before Evers arrived. So they aren't funding grants so much as a secondary slush fund, completely under Trump's control. Got it.
And what do they think will happen when the Democrats regain the White House? (Or do they think that far?)
Peak derp has always been a myth, unfortunately.I keep hoping that these guys will run out of new flavors of fuckwittery.
Apparently it’s a bottomless resource.
