A standout among them to watch this year will be Doriane Pin, the young French driver who won Formula 1 Academy last year, particularly after a stunning lap during the first qualifying session, held on Wednesday.

By over half a second! Shame the Hypercar sessions didn't work out quite as well for the #30 - they'll start 6th in LMP2.

Except the year I went (2017), and also last year, where it also didn’t rain during the Spa 24 or the N24.
The ensuing 18 years have rendered that infamous quote no longer accurate.

However, without that marketing exercise as a movie produced by Audi, we would not have the wonderful Allan McNish talking us through a lap of the Circuit de le Sarthe.

I absolutely love the masthead picture with all the cars lined up on the grid. Amazing to see how many there will be starting.

Apparently Ford is going to join the hypercar field and has expressed an interest in getting Verstappen to drive a hypercar or GT3 for them, would love to see him at Le Mans too.
