That’s an overly nice way of saying “kidnapped children and families and trafficked them across state lines”…. . . Much of this tit-for-tat activity has involved social issues and immigration . . .
We call those 5.9 million people “white”.The general population leans slightly conservative, but the state legislature is so deeply conservative you might as well call it the red planet. It's going to get worse before it gets better, because those 5.9 million people are the ones writing all the laws and writing all the checks.
God forbid you ask space fans to give a shit about social issues (aka “other people who aren’t making rockets”). This is the same group who calls human beings “meat” and “cargo”. They’re some of the most myopic and regressive groups around when it comes to everything but engineering. Ironically, they’re all about the future of humanity in the stars or whatever, but don’t actually care much for humans at all.If you want to put money into space exploration, how about you innovate a little in your state and stop driving us towards antiquated and backwards social views that have been proven to be bad for society?
They love “fighting” the federal regime, but this sounds like they’d have to do more work than “putting together stunts to jack off their base”, so I doubt they’ll actually be able to make it happen.Texas is going to have to fight the federal NEPA regime to allow more than 5 Starship launch operations per year from Boca Chica if they want to compete with Florida in the launch sector. Otherwise the Cape will become the center of gravity for Starship operations and assembly.
Cool anecdote! Too bad most businesses don’t operate like yours.BS. The last couple of years I was in a team which was building production sites for a large international (european ) company. We never cared much about tax breaks (although they are nice). We didn't give a bit about next quarters profit. What is important is the support and the relationship with local authorities, the local labour market, the competence of local suppliers, closeness to to your consumer markets and import /export regulations.
Lmfao. Like you flag humpers know anything about a Nor’Easter. Two storms aren’t always the same.give it a rest. Texas gets a once in a century storm and grid isn't prepared. Rest of country has a laugh.
Turn to 2023 and the Northeast gets a record storm. The same jokers that smugly droned on about how prepared they were for any winter storm get to watch their neighbors freezing to death in cars and on the streets.
Your state sure does. I’ve never seen a place so insecure as to who and where they were that they needed to fly their country’s flags, everywhere, all the time, as big as they can make them. Hundreds and hundreds of miles from any other country. Like, did y’all forget you were in America? Do you need that much of a constant reminder? So what you're saying is that people who SHOULD have known all about being ready for a Nor’Easter failed.
Also, I do not hump flags.
Not to mention CA and those dirty liberal blue states subsidize those red states who hate us so much.Funny that, a budget surplus in CA is a Clear Proof The Evil Dems Are Stealing The People's Money Like Vampires And Should Reduce Taxes And Shrink Government.
A budget surplus in Texas is an opportunity to give a $350M budget to ... a new commission ?
So you'd prefer mass shootings then? Or exploding chemical plants? Or an isolated power grid that was a half hour from completely failing during the second "once in a century" storm in ten years?I'd prefer a "dump" over some place like San Francisco with people deficating on the streets and crime gangs mounting organized mass broad daylight robberies. Oh and rents that aren't through the roof.
When was the last time you were in San Francisco?I'd prefer a "dump" over some place like San Francisco with people deficating on the streets and crime gangs mounting organized mass broad daylight robberies. Oh and rents that aren't through the roof.
I also like their use of the phrase “crime gangs”. As opposed to… ?You can go to Dallas, Ft. Worth, Houston, or any other large city in Texas and find homeless people shitting on the streets and all the other things the OP was parroting from conservative talk radio. It's hardly unique to San Francisco. Any city of sufficient size is going to have these problems because people like the OP would rather pretend those people don't exist so they have an extra $5/year in their pocket, to paying that in taxes to help these people.
That's only because they won't stop fracking for salt.As usual, this place becomes a salt mine whenever Texas or Florida is the topic.
1. It’s “Texans”Time for popcorn. Don't worry Texians, the trolls from California will come out of covid hibernation and post smack while wearing masks in their mom's basement apartment.
No wonder Texas is the new technical frontier.
