Remember back when the Note 1 was too big for a phone? Oh how far we've come.

"Back in my day!" We used 320x240 pixel screens - with a stylus.Remember back when the Note 1 was too big for a phone? Oh how far we've come.
Oh man, I can't believe I used to own an Android 2.x device with a screen the size of my thumb. Now we complain about bezels a couple millimetres wide on a 4K capable handheld device. Truly astounding.
More like all tablets would become convertibles with a hinged keyboard attachment and possibly with a docking station available. Traditional tablets yeah it'd be hard choosing that over a folding device. If these phones become widespread I see them utterly killing the tablet market.

Generally agree, we'll eventually get to pocketable tablets and 2:1 laptop replacement tablets. And at some point either ChromeOS or Fuchsia will replace Android (the OS, not the ecosystem). I'm starting to like where ChromeOS is heading but Fuchsia looks promising as a truly modern OS that consumer devices could use. Could be many years away though.
Sick of vaporware. For all of Apple's hype, at least they hype shit they've actually built.
Yeah, but if there's a company that gets screens right, this is the one.As intriguing as the prospects of this may be, there is no way I would go anywhere near a gen 1 version of this product. Screens are hard enough to get right when they are immobile objects. A folding/moving screen is going to have some stresses that will probably manifest problems in some unforeseen ways.

Samsung, the company who for years touted their awful PenTile lcd matrix, oversaturated OLED screens, and had general readability issues with some of their screens? That company?

No. The company that manufactures beautiful pentile OLED screens for your precious Apple iPhone X that had the best display ever on a phone. Well. Back in my day! We used a TV for monitor and loaded programs from tape. 12" amber CRT and 5.25 floppy were huge improvements a few years later! I'm not old enough to remember punchcards for input and line printer as output.Back in my day, we used CRT monitors with a 320x200 resolution."Back in my day!"
