RDP on work computer

I have foolishly fought this fight about RDP and my laptop on VPN having none of it.

It's a losing battle for good reasons and I was dumb to ever try.

My solution: a good KVM so I can use my preferred peripherals without being a security risk. It takes a while to get all set up and working well but I can now switch between an all-private setup and all-work without issue, using the same kbd/mouse/cam when switching either way.

Alas, I have found a way to do this, and it's called Chrome Remote Desktop. VPN or not, seems to work very well. Of course there is the above discussion about security and policy.
