Exactly what I came to ask. There's so many different options available for fitness tracking now that the only way I feel great about future use of data is if I can pull it all into one place.

Me too. I'm looking for a bluetooth "smart" scale, but I can't tell if this one exists just to lock you into their app's subscription plan...

On the other hand I've had an absolutely horrid experience with both their support and the fitness band. I won't get into detail but basically with every troubleshooting step available both from users on the forums and from Pivotal themselves my band would consistently lose its ability to sync with the application in both iOS and Android. Got a RMA after several weeks (answers to my emails came every few days) and that device had the same issue. Poor build quality and it looks terrible. I just ended up eating the $15 in the end. It wasn't worth it to continue troubleshooting. Also, the Android app is a lazy iOS port but like I mentioned before even the iOS version had the same issue.

This seemed pretty neat when I heard of it a while ago. At 12 dollars a year with free tracker upgrades or replacements the whole time, it would take nearly a decade to reach the cost of a barebones Fitbit Flex. In that time they could have several new models, while the other fitness tracker would probably have a dead battery. Seems like a good deal.

If only they loved Canada.

The band is on the membership plan, but the scale is not. You'll pay $40 to buy the smart scale, and you'll get full access to the weight tracking portion of the app for as long as you have the scale and sync it with the app and your mobile device.

I'm in the market for a fitness band and this review was very compelling but the reviews on Amazon and for the Android app on Google Play are pretty bad. So now I'm back to needing more data :/

There's a small information icon at the top of that page that tells you how each measurement is calculated, and I appreciate that the BMI page has a disclaimer explaining that your BMI may not accurately reflect your fitness level since many athletes or body builders may register a BMI over the healthy limit even if they're generally healthy (due to more weight from muscle rather than fat).

I wish they would stop using that dumb BMI, it is a really unconclusive measurement. No scientist or scientific minded person will use it. The word coming out of a doctors mouth immediately disqualifies him/her for grossly violating the scientific method: It is like measuring your intelligence by by the size of glasses you wear or the amount of hair you have on your arms. Sometimes works and sometimes misleads greatly. Just very dumb. I can't believe that something as half assed and old (dating back to the 19 century) is used, it is a sad testimony of the lack of human intelligence.

I recently broke a Fitbit scale.

- not by standing on, but by dropping it.

Its replacement, a Sanitas SBF70 came from Lidl and cost me £24 and via an absolutely awful 'Healthcoach' App, it syncs my weight data to Apple Health.

Despite the terrible app, we added a Bluetooth enabled Blood Pressure monitor to our array of health devices too.

Integration with MFP is handled via Apple Health, so all is good.
