Take my money immediately.
It's crazy, I grew up playing Maniac Mansion and never played Day of the Tentacle or Monkey Island, but got back on the Ron Gilbert train with The Cave and Thimbleweed Park. Definitely am looking forward to this.
Turns out it was a blessing that my Amiga's sound card never worked properly

Never too late to go back and play them now.
In fact I think I am going to go do that and play all three. It’s been YEARS and I loved them so much when I was younger.
This is the second best trailer for a game I've seen this year.

There was no voice acting until Curse of Monkey Island, which was never on Amiga.
God, they nailed the art direction. It's amazing how they captured the feel of the old pixel art.
That new style will last forever, too; it should scale to any display. It'll still look fantastic fifty years from now.
I like the art style, but I find the animation and character rigging to be clunky. It really loses something vs frame by frame animation. I get that it's a necessary sacrifice for what I imagine is a fairly small team with a modest budget.
Time to revisit the entire library! SSSOOOOOO many great games. It's been such a joy to play through them again with my children on the family computer thanks to the magic of ScummVM. I ripped the images from my own discs (which I'll never give up), but the stragglers I didn't own were pretty cheap and easy to come by with the help of GOG.com.It's crazy, I grew up playing Maniac Mansion and never played Day of the Tentacle or Monkey Island, but got back on the Ron Gilbert train with The Cave and Thimbleweed Park. Deponia has an art style that is similar to Curse. It looks better artistically, but the new Monkey style is more fluid and has better spatial depth.I'm excited for this but I much prefer the art style from Curse of Monkey Island.
There used to be an iOS version but, for unknown reasons, it was pulled from the App Store and has never returned.I am glad to see it coming to switch and a little disappointed not to see it on iPad. Looks like a great game to crack open when stuck on a long plane flight.
What, no love for Full Throttle? It's crazy, I grew up playing Maniac Mansion and never played Day of the Tentacle or Monkey Island, but got back on the Ron Gilbert train with The Cave and Thimbleweed Park. Definitely am looking forward to this.

I've replayed DOTT and the first three Monkeys several times over the years, and they hold up for me. In my opinion, DOTT, Monkey 2, and Grim Fandango are no doubters for the Mount Rushmore of LucasArts adventure games and anyone who enjoys adventure games but hasn't played them should definitely check them out.
