With so many exposures sites, officials can't figure out where people were infected.

I will mourn the loss of those who wanted vaccinations and couldn't get them.Sigh. I should just copy this to the clipboard and keep it at the ready.
I can’t adequately express how furious this situation makes me. Possibly the greatest, most effective medical advance in history is in danger of being dismantled by fools and people are going to suffer and die as a result.
It didn’t take long for people to forget about blindness, deafness, and possible dementia down the road. You know who is vaccinated against this readily preventable disease?
This guy (points to self).
Way back in the 1960s, when the vaccine was far less tested but everyone had a fresh memory of how bad it was.

Yeah, I was born in '66 and I'd be in the "get a new shot pronto" category if not for the fortunate circumstance that every time I went to a new college it was easier for me to get a new MMR shot than to track down my medical records showing I'd already had one. So I got boosters in '84, '85, and '08. I sure hope I'm covered now.Protip: Get your measles titer checked or get a booster. Those vaccines from the 60's worked, but not all of them conferred life-long immunity. The shot I got didn't.
Eh… this cynical bastard figures people need a certain level of mortal peril and if they don’t get it will create some. It is more exciting if it is your kids.I can’t adequately express how furious this situation makes me. 3 more years of winning ahead and even though I am not located in the US this winning is felt worldwide…I cannot take much more winning.
Don't worry, unless you live in Africa, Russia, China, or India, you'll soon be part of the "Good Old USA" if Trump has his way!!3 more years of winning ahead and even though I am not located in the US this winning is felt worldwide…
Don't know if they forgot so much as dementia is now apparently considered a presidential virtue. It didn’t take long for people to forget about blindness, deafness, and possible dementia down the road.
Seconding this. I did the same thing after it became obvious the CDC was being dismantled and RFK Jr. was doing everything in his power to prevent Americans from getting ANY vaccines again. Fortunately my immunity (from the early '60s) was still good.Protip: Get your measles titer checked or get a booster. I was glossing over Michigan's vaccination rates for various things broken down by district a couple of months ago. It's not all quite so bad but much of it was concerning and some places, especially certain rural ones, were downright scary. Like in the ballpark of 50% scary. There hadn't been any cases in a long time of course, as with most of the rest of North America, but if something as contagious as measles really starts to take hold again, some of these communities are at risk of being absolutely ravaged. How strange. Living in a nearly fully vaccinated area, I don't think I've even heard of a case of measles anywhere here.
I feel bad for the kids who are just unwilling participants on the crazy train. I hope they make it. As for their "parents"... shrug.
Some people are saying that going out and catching measles on purpose is actually a great way to reverse male pattern baldness, turn a beer belly into a six pack, and cure impotence. I can't verify one way or the other, as I'm not a doctor. Do your own research, people.I guess the Ivermectin and raw milk isn't working as advertised.
I see what you did there. It didn’t take long for people to forget about blindness, deafness, and possible dementia down the road.
