Hydrargyrum[/url]":1hcreoyh]Are Orion's landing systems and heat shield sufficient for a Mars return trajectory?

With a 21 day life support system will it really matter?

In principle, a service module/hab would provide the necessary life support. But if Orion can't survive a landing at the speed of a Mars return trajectory, then even building the hab isn't enough.

Translunar but not Mars is a weird target capability for the project.
