Kenyan court blocks Trump admin from dumping Ebola-exposed Americans there

Seems like a good opportunity for China to humiliate Trump by agreeing to take in the patients. Make a big statement about being compassionate, etc. making it clear Trump's anything but.

I started to wonder if Trump would take someone back if they were MAGA, then realized it's unlikely any MAGA doctor or nurse would bother to go to Africa to help brown-skinned people.

Right, they might not be MAGA... but still, what if they're rich?

How rich? Billionaire MAGA? You'll have access to the best facilities and medical care in the US. Don't worry about the bill. The US taxpayers have you covered.

Non-MAGA billionaire: I'm sure you can arrange for top notch care somewhere.

Non-billionaire (MAGA or non-MAGA): Good luck citizen. You'll need it. It's your own fault you contracted this, and you'll probably die in a foreign land. Your death will soon be out of the news cycle anyway, and you'll be forgotten.

i might. if i could piss gasoline....
Yeah, you might want to first research the average exit velocity of urine from the human urinary tract, or better yet, directly measure yours first... I doubt it's up to the task, but this is exactly why we always test first.

There were studies done in Liechtenstein just post WW2, but prior to Chuck Yeager breaking the speed of sound in 1947. Studies showed that some individuals did in fact possess the internal urinary tract pressure of several hundred kPa. Enough to create a rather power stream.*

I don't think I could get even one click of my zip down if I were standing right next to him, to be honest.
How do you save a sack of rotting dogshit?

Well, you stand over a pool of lava, with in one hand Trump, and in the other hand a sack of rotting dog shit. You're only strong enough to hold ONE for longer than 5 minutes or so, so you hold on to the most valuable object you're holding.

That's how you save a sack of rotting dogshit.

When that cruiseschip the Hondius with the crazy bird flu had people dying the Netherlands sent a plane to pick them up.

What do they always say in American war movies? "Leave no man behind".
So what changed? Millions of conservative 'Christians' rallied behind a despicable human being as their leader! So we now have Vance, Hegseth, Kennedy, Jr., etc., etc. serving on 'the team'.

[Edit to correct spelling.]

Canadian here, so this question needs some support from the community.

Has there not been an established practice ( a precedent...) that the US gov't repatriates citizens in the case of medical emergencies over the decades: so therefore, would this practice by the Trump gov't be illegal and thus possible to challenge in US courts?

So Kenya a country without Ebola but on the same continent as Ebola cases is asked to do what the U.S. itself won't do, take in and care for U.S. citizen Ebola cases and people exposed to Ebola. Wouldn't think this makes much sense for Kenya or it's huge tourist industry, or it's travelers to the U.S. It's neo-colonial, condescending and particularly stupid because the U.S. has the facilities and expertise to take care of it's own citizens her in the United States.

Trump and his penile implanting urologist medical advisor don't know what they are doing.

Yes, back when our government believed in science, there was precedent for repatriating citizens in such situations. I don’t know if it is necessarily illegal for them to deny repatriation. However, this administration is not particularly concerned with the legality of its actions. It is certainly morally reprehensible.

Congratulations! You're positive... For Ebola. We recognize the situation is dire and time is of the essence.

We disagree whether you, as an American citizen, should be allowed to enter the country under quarantine and treated by the specialized facilities we have built.

The Supreme Court says one thing, the law says the same thing, but the President and his staff have decided something else.

We'll iron this out in court. Shouldn't take more than 6-8 years because we are experts at needlessly dragging out cases especially when we know we'll lose.

But, console yourself with the knowledge that you'll probably have died long before that and you won't have to bear witness to our loss in court.

Maybe Trump can divert that hospital ship from Greenland to go treat the infected. Surely Greenlanders have all experienced the miracle of American Healthcare from that ship so it's no longer needed there.
So fun fact about that: Mercy is currently in dry dock undergoing a refit and Comfort just finished a refit and I believe hasnt budged far from port since

As with everything else, Trump, of course, lied
