An Illinois man was charged with a felony for recording police while being arrested. Today, a state judge ruled the eavesdropping law unconstitutional.

How about if you (co-)sponsor a law that ends up being ruled unconstitutional you are booted out and banned from public office for life. I think they would all be a lot more careful.
