Reggiani also stated that there is a second SUV in the works for Lamborghini, but using a plug-in hybrid drivetrain exclusively and will arrive around 2020.

Wasn't all the early rumors that the Urus would have a hybrid powertrain or I am misremembering? Disappointing that this wasn't the case.

Why is Lamborghini so allergic to hybrids? Hybrid doesn't mean econobox. Electric powers provide impressive power to weight ratios and excellent low end torque.

On edit: or is the keyword in the quote above "exclusive" because it looks like there are reports the Urus has a hybrid option.

To me this looks like a small station wagon, or a large hatchback, but not an SUV. I'm not really sure in what way this qualifies as an SUV. Because it has AWD? Because it has more ground clearance than most Lamborghinis, albeit no more than most station wagons?

I guess really you can call your car whatever you want, so it's an SUV because that's what Lamborghini called it.

Everything in those categories (at least in the US) will be called an SUV. If a car manufacturer makes a largeish vehicle and calls it a hatchback or worse station wagon it would undersell the identical vehicle marketed as an SUV.

That is why I don't understand why "SUV purists" (not you but in general) freak out that xyz is not a "real SUV". Today SUV is little more than a marketing term. If calling this vehicle a station wagon would sell more vehicles than they would call it a station wagon and then I guess station wagon pursist would say it isn't a station wagon it is a small long SUV.

Lol! The engine Start/Stop button appears to have a safety switch.

Is that a hint that just starting the engine is something to take very seriously??
Odds heavily favor the likelihood that they don't want someone accidentally turning off the car while it's on the freeway by trying to put their morning Starbucks in the cup holder.

I have never know a stop engine button to act as a dumb kill switch. I pushed the stop button on a rented Ford Mustang while on the highway because I had to know. Yeah not the smartest thing but I was ready to restart or pull over. Nothing happened.

Maybe this car is the exception but my guess is the uber protection on the switch is tacticool.
