Sometimes it seems that the software industry as a whole has never really had to grapple with the idea that a product is "done".
Maps were done. Word processing is done. Outside of unending security updates, even operating systems seem kind of done. Please stop "enhancing" these completed products.

Constant churn and "changes for changes sake".
I guess this is a direct result of the "infinite growth" mentality... you can't settle on something that just works, it has to be constantly changes (mind you, NOT
improved)
And this ties in with the push go subscription based payments... previously you've made software, sold it and that was your income. Yo get more you had go create new version that would actually be an improvement and innovate so that people would be willing go pay for the upgrade...
