Is Y'shtola any good? I just drew her from this week's Raid Summons, and she looks like an interesting character.

From what I've been reading she is one of the better healers/support characters in the game.

So for the first time since I started playing I have a team that can easily handle the Elite level of the event,at the current rate of 500k+ points per day I should be able to score all the pots from this event. :bigdumbgrin:

And that's all the King pots from the event,and I have 132k raid coins,not looking forward to summoning and merging so many units.

I think he just means he'll get all of them by the end of the two week period. I'm at 2.1M raid points, 230k Garuda raid coins. I've been pretty good the past couple of days, but on the weekend I probably lost 5-10 orbs each day. Daily I probably lose 5 orbs. At this point I'll get all the raid rewards. I might get under 30k, but honestly the extra 4% TMR isn't worth a refresh (Technically 100 lapis is worth 1.60*5 = 8% split across multiple characters for me).

I agree though, worst part about the raids are the cleanups after so many summons. I think after the back to back raids I summoned the half of the coins from the second raid at the same time as the coins for the first raid. So I was like 1600/350 units. The moogles were the worst part.

Nope,I am completely done on the King pots,I've refreshed maybe half a dozen times,a lot of those points are due to my insomnia and needing something to do when I can't sleep.

I'm presently at 321k on raid points, and I should probably hit 500k before the event ends. I would have been much lower if not for Saikaici's friendship. His Captain does huge damage, but is not a guaranteed win for me (there's even been a few times where he died in the first turn, and I still managed to finish!). At this point, I now make more points going for the Pro tier, even when I lose. Without Saikaici's presence, I would have stayed at Adv. I have a half-dozen friends other than Saikaici in the 500-700 ATK range, and with them I can consistently beat the Pro Garuda. Once in a while, I even get a crit with Veritas of the Flame which one-shots the Garuda by himself (well, with Steiner's Armor Break). I'm really not sure how that works, since he's only rated at 379 ATK, but I won't question what works!

On a related matter - once I 100% Trust a fodder character, what's the best thing to do with them? Sell them, feed them to someone else? I'm assuming that it won't let me feed them to a 0% or 5% version of themselves and get another Trust Mastery reward for little effort.

Correct, you won't get any additional bonus TMR from a 100% unit. So, there's no need to keep the base after you get the TMR however what you should do with them really comes down to two things:

• If it's a 5 Star "rainbow" base you're going to keep it*. The 7 Star awakening mechanic in Japan FFBE requires you to convert a second 5* base of the same toon into a crystal that acts as the catalyst material for the awakening. This is likely how it will work for Global as well. 7 Star awakenings also introduce "Super TMRs" which require you to merge an additional 2 matching bases with your 7 Star to get the mastery.
• For all the 4* and lower bases, you can sell, merge with another toon, or keep to level as you see fit.

*Exception: Don't go nuts keeping Y'Shtolla's. She currently doesn't have a 7 Star form because she's a free character. Keep 2 to 4 if you want but be aware that it may never happen for her (or other free 5 star bases).

I'm keeping around 4 each of the free units from this event and using the Cactuars to level them for easy expedition fodder.

Man, went through all of my 550k raid currency summons on Saturday. Nothing has made me consider quitting this game more than the drudgery of summoning all of those units, and then all of the merging. They really need to make some QoL efficiency changes. I don't remember the other raids being this bad, maybe I had previously split the summons into 2 or 3 times or something. All in all, I think I was dealing with it for around 6 hours or so. Fortunately I was off camping with little else to do, so ended up doing it while reading. Still extremely painful. Not looking forward to doing it again for bahamut, but at least I have a reberta spear and some zyrus' TMR to look forward to.

The struggle is real. I had just over 634,000 Garuda raid coins, and after spending them all had a 2463/425 unit count. What a massive pain it was to get rid of most of it, and even then I had probably over 100 metal cactuars of different types and spent about 1500 lapis to get my unit slots up to 500 so that I wouldn't have to sell them.

And we have another raid now.

I think I just need to get used to the idea of selling metal cactuars, because I simply don't have a bunch of units that I need or want to level up.

Don't sell them,level up a few units from each series to send on expeditions,you can get a lot of crysts from them to level your main teams abilities.

Sadly I forgot for a day or two over the weekend that it was free summons... urgh. For my mental sanity I'll just assume it was going to be a Shadow and a Lani.

I did the same thing. I'm sure the summons I forgot to get on Sunday were crap.

My wife has really been wanting an Orochi. ...because dragon? (shrug) Anyhow, not enough to really dip into her summons much or lapis. But she was so excited when she got a gold this morning on her half-price. ...and it was Shine. The game does like to troll people.

A prime example would be when I blew 5k lapis hoping for another Barbie or a Trance Terra,saw the rainbow crystal as the last summon,got all excited,then it procced as a Jiraiya. :/

Hm..based on the list, you're going to want to level up your 2nd Ashe at some point. Having 2 or 3 to go with an Amelia is really effective in Arena. I didn't use her much in story, but I expect she will be pretty good there as well, and may allow you to skip bringing a healer in some cases.

Amelia is rather broken in Arena,aoe Stop is so op it isn't funny,hence why I bring dual Lila's. :devious:

What’s the most effective way to level characters?

Cactuar Dunes event when it's up,Chamber of Experience in the Vortex when it's not. Also advisable to get a Growth Egg,there is also the Tsukomo Doll from this event that can be crafted,having both is a major boost to leveling in the Chamber,they do not affect xp from Cactuars though.

For the xp chamber I assume I either level 4 characters at once or just take in two people?


I just picked up a bran, elfreeda, and zidane. Any of these any good?

Xp is split between characters so the fastest method is one character at a time+ a high level friend to do the actual damage.

One other thing to note about PS Rydia is that she's got Tornado/Quake + Doublecast. This means she pairs well with Lexa (4* from the current CG Nichol banner), Barbarica (another 5 star) and Shantotto (a 3 star, 5 star max) as strong Air Magic chainers and William for Earth Magic chaining. Air and Earth are handy because they're not commonly resisted.

As you build up the gear for it, Magic chaining can become incredibly powerful because most bosses have lower magic defence than physical. While an Enhanced Trance Terra is generally preferred 'cause her magic is elementaless and therefore bypasses resistances, if the boss has a weakness to Air or Earth, Tornado/Quake chaining will make them just melt...

Also Barbarica+2 Shantoto's= 1 turn kill in arena,makes farming wins so easy. :devious:

I put at least 10 4* tickets into this banner, have not gotten any rainbows off them. So you're just lucky. I did get two Dragonlords off of the DQ banner chasing LMS though. And I never got LMS.

Grats on the double CG Nichols though. I'm fairly jealous. Bards are nice, but CG Nichol is cooler and has more flexibility.

I got the opposite result on the DQ banner,2 LMS and no Dragonlord.

I love Item World. It took about 11 runs but got my Sasuke to 32% ATK. Orlandeau can hit 1250 ATK now with a 4th materia slot open.

Yeah,I'm going to be grinding that for Sparky and a pair of Masamune's at some point.

Yup,sticking your highest attack/magic attacker is pretty much the norm,I usually have my 1400 atk Olive set as mine.
