I'm trying to think of any deadman switches that would have any sort of meaningful effect on the current world stage.
Privately reminding everyone on the list they should inform the FBI of what they know (or similar BS polished with legal help) which is really a legal way to remind them to avoid exposure by helping her cause. Someone should have enough to lose to beg POTUS for help.

Powerful people are given their power and money by others in expectation of reward. They are beholden to their supporters without whom they'd be in deep shit even were they honest, and even Trump must have associates he values. Squeeze the lesser criminals who have weaker defenses.

However, the last paragraph of the memo posted here shows that they did take an action that deleted video - swapping out the hard drives to fix it going forward. The second image in that post shows that there was a path that didn't result in losing the video, but they went with the path that deleted the video by replacing both hard drives at the same time. The system had backup drives, but they tossed it all anyway, at the directive of the warden. That's a choice, not a "technical error".
The government assertion disconnecting old hard drives from an unpowered DVR would somehow wipe them without user intervention is idiotic.

Even if drives didn't work for non-techie users that doesn't mean a data recovery service could not recover some or all of the data.

EDIT:
DVR was a NiceVision Pro NP 2000 by Nice Systems. It was a ~2009 era machine, long obsolete and unsupported therefore convenient for deniability.

Are we not supposed to be acting like adults?
The propaganda version of adulthood or real, chronological adulthood? They are not the same.

People who associate with capable, smart people often make the earnestly well-meant but tragically naive mistake of respecting humanity in general as if "humanity" were naturally virtuous, kind and good. Some even find realistic appraisal of humanity offensive because they prefer their pitiful dreams to reality where apathy and evil are more common than virtue.

Trump is a quintessential American. He speaks to the masses in language they find comfortingly familiar because they think, speak, and when they can get away with it, act like him. Most can barely read and take no interest in self-improvement. Their concept of civic duty is team ball.

Trump is living their dream. He viscerally understands humanity as it is. That's key to winning the popularity contests we call "elections".

Americans are not collectively intelligent enough to competently run a modern society. That renders their prideful ignorance incurable. Their desires exclude ethical leadership so anyone with sense sticks to business leaving politics for demagogues.

Thanks to Trump the world sees America naked in all its glory. He broke the propaganda machine by ending deniability. Trump and Epstein are far from anomalies. They gave their supporters exactly what they asked for and got power in return.
