Check your gravity with NASA’s Artemis II zero-g indicator

Cute, but I'm not funding employee morale programs under this administration.

Wouldn't you think NASA employees need a moral boost now more than ever? Especially the half working in science related projects constantly under attack, counting the days until he leaves office.

Sadly I was to order one for a STEM niece but 8 weeks delay... I mean...Artemis II didn't take that long! Anyway, I'll just put her mailing on it so she will get a late graduation surprise! Which, is still a gift!

I remember buying USPS gear to help the depleted privatized agency. I don't know where that money went.

At least the Nasa Exchange is employee run, so we know it's getting to the right hands.
Current circumstances are what makes this sad.
  • If Google or OpenAI or even NASA employees were selling swag during good times, the sale would mostly be an amusing anecdote to bring up at dinner parties.
  • Knowing the current administration's attacks on the NASA budget, the sale feels more like a cash-strapped school district doing a bake sale to raise money for its teachers.

A recent election for a school district called for vote on bonds to fund school operations. I don’t know if some of that money was for increased teacher salaries but I voted for it anyway. The proposal did say it would increase taxes. I really don’t know how there are still school teachers here with the poor salaries and the other BS they have to put up with. I was an engineer but know a lot of teachers. I support them.

How does the soft toy indicate zero-g? I am interested in the internals.

Observe your Rise plushy. Is it floating? Then you are currently in "zero-g". If it is not floating then you are not currently in "zero-g".

Warning incorrect results may occur if Rise is immersed in a fluid denser than air.

Those NASA boffins are amazing!

Edit: Ooh, I found someone on Etsy selling an unlicenced "Mr. Wilson" replica (from the hit film Castaway.) Very realistic-looking and only £100! I wonder if that can be modified to work as well as Rise.

Sure, what I meant was screw the rank and file workers. In no way did I intend this to mean that the administration is going to twist the "morale program" to further their ideologies and goals. I do indeed hate the working people at NASA.

The USA never had a spending problem but an income problem. Everyday, the Epstein Class accumulates more wealth they use only to accumulate more wealth. Otherwise, it remains locked away and doesn't "trickle down" in amounts that make any difference. The Epstein Class has gaslit a lot of folks into becoming their volunteer defenders.

Really loving these! I only wish they sold the same hat the moon is wearing. A bit of a missed opportunity provided of course it’s not completely overpriced to produce and sell.

Based on some cute findings on Etsy, I think it would make for a great wear.
