It's somewhat disappointing that the BBC's 'VR' experiments thus far have been mere 360° video (either live-action or pre-rendered CG) rather than actual VR.

Me too, but it should at least keep my Twitter feed amusing for a bit with angry people from N Ireland complaining about the license fee going towards such a documentary.
