The Apple Watch did not pick up the sleep apnea and hypertension detection that has been ready for the hardware
Yeah, weird type in that storySeems like it does include the Sleep Apnea detection? Or at least a modified form of it?
Watch 9 was also 18 hours:They promised 18 hour "all day" battery life. Does anyone have the battery life promised by previous generations in hours?
It might be that they are waiting fda clearance like they said in the live stream?Seems like it does include the Sleep Apnea detection? Or at least a modified form of it?
Yes! Surprised - I thought maybe I was missing the link...Missing the livestream today!
Yes, I have Series 9 and it pretty much always has at least 18 hour battery life even when I'm using the fitness tracker for over an hour. However, it can limp into the end at 10-20% by the end of the day. With less GPS usage, I can go over 24 hours... but again that leaves me at low battery in the afternoon (I just keep the charging cable in my bag). They promised 18 hour "all day" battery life. Does anyone have the battery life promised by previous generations in hours?
The SE gen 2 is still only $249 and will still get WatchOS 11I was all set for an update to my SE gen 1 watch but at $399 for the series 10 and for the gps watch…yeah that’s a bit too rich for my blood. I’ll see what a series 9 goes down to. Dang Apple, $299 or even $349 would be doable but I just can’t swing that for a watch.
There's not much call to change a design that works. People want a bigger screen and longer lasting battery, not change for the sake of change.Darn, I was hoping for an iPhone X style major redesign.
Shouldn't this read GPS and Cellular, respectively? The Apple Watch Series 10 starts at $399 for a Wi-Fi model and $499 with GPS.
Ha. It’s been 1.4 billion years since the “all day” was 18 hoursThey promised 18 hour "all day" battery life. Does anyone have the battery life promised by previous generations in hours?
I don't know anyone with an apple watch who thinks it needs to be thinner. They all want longer battery life and pulseox to come back (RIP).the thinnest Watch so far
One is a bullet point and the other a feature.Interesting they announced Sleep Apnea detection but no mention of an O2 sensor, instead they focusing on sleep disturbances.
A fraction of an mm isn’t going to give you multi day battery life. At best is stretches 18 hours to 20 hours.I don't know anyone with an apple watch who thinks it needs to be thinner. They all want multi-day battery life.
What is the new Apple Watch always $399? Honestly, I didn’t look before I opened my mouth and that’s usually when things go sideways…The SE gen 2 is still only $249 and will still get WatchOS 11
How much money you got?How much do we think that fancy new band for the Ultra is going to cost? I'd love something infinitely adjustable for diving, the old milanese loop wasn't trustworthy though.
Also I really, REALLY wish someone besides Oceanic would release a dive comp app that doesn't require a bloody subscription.
The vitals app they showed in the video also only had 4 columns… guess what was missing.Interesting they announced Sleep Apnea detection but no mention of an O2 sensor, instead they focusing on sleep disturbances.
How much money you got?

It does leave room for future expansion though. Kind of silly to make it thinner if next year you just have to make it thicker again.A fraction of an mm isn’t going to give you multi day battery life. At best is stretches 18 hours to 20 hours.
Official battery life has been 18 hours ever since Series 0. In practice it goes up for every generation that is not a redesign (so Series 8 had better battery life than Series 7, for instance) and only really dropped once, with Series 4.They promised 18 hour "all day" battery life. Does anyone have the battery life promised by previous generations in hours?
I hope not, because that loss is only valid in the US. That feature keeps working outside the US.Since Apple lost their IP battle for pulse-oximetry did they delete that hardware? Not sure there's any other way to use the existing hardware that doesn't infringe.
Apple has all the money in the world to not care about that problem. It does leave room for future expansion though. Kind of silly to make it thinner if next year you just have to make it thicker again.
I suppose that means you don’t snore, don’t have hypertension, and don’t have a family history of diabetes, stroke, or heart attack. There’s millions of others for whose sleep apnea is a huge problem. The Apple Watch updates are just fargin' lame. Sleep Apnea detection is interesting but not enough that I'd even consider upgrading from my old ass series 8.

I’d say go for the Watch 10. if not, in a couple years, you will have forgotten about the extra ~$100 you would have saved, but you will regret not having the larger design, new features, more future proof SoC.I was all set for an update to my SE gen 1 watch but at $399 for the series 10 and for the gps watch…yeah that’s a bit too rich for my blood. I routinely wear my Apple Watch 7 for 18 hours without issue, so I'm ... unimpressed that the newest one still has apparently about the same battery life.Watch 9 was also 18 hours:

I have comfortably worn it for 18 hours without issue.
Mature product, just like the iPhones? The Apple Watch updates are just fargin' lame. Sleep Apnea detection is interesting but not enough that I'd even consider upgrading from my old ass series 8.
