who wants to use email in a web browser for chat?!
I don't know what Japanese people do now but in the past they used email for text messaging.
I don't know why this isn't good - it seemed to work just fine.
I think they have had SMS for a long time but exorbitant carrier prices caused people to use email as a messaging solution.

If you want an unbiased, neutral account of the debate, including details of Apple's sneaky shit - because did we not think Apple would be up to sneaky shit? - read this.
Declaring normal business practices to be "sneaky shit", and implying that Apple is always up to "sneaky shit" doesn't exactly scream "unbiased".
You are not responding to what Google says. Why is ostracizing Android users (or enabling their ostracization) good? Say that or otherwise what part of what Google says is wrong and don't name call. Google doesn't - they just lay out their argument. Lay out yours. Because when you name call, it's distracting, I can't read the rest of your message.

Google does name call - they say Apple does not deserve to be called the names it calls itself, which is fair. People call out Google all the time for being evil, and that's fair too.
