Nice PR stunt. Will’s eager to have his name associated with a viral video that isn’t him assaulting Chris Rock for making jokes about Jada. I mean who would expect the comedian host of an awards show to make fun of the celebrities in attendance? How was Smith supposed to react to such a unprecedented and dangerous attack?

I mean, I don't know that much about him personally (and not defending him assaulting Chris Rock) - but somebody can absolutely be self-deprecating but still overly sensitive to somebody insulting their partner. It's two completely different things. I don't think it's exactly uncommon either - most married guys I know are going to be much less able to laugh off somebody insulting their wife than themselves (though also not as likely to go towards public assault as a first response).

If you don't see the difference between a comedian making jokes about celebrities for their affluence or their work and a comedian making a joke about someone's disease that they've publicly stated they're struggling with then I don't know how to help you. Will Smith behaved like a twat, but Chris Rock was not an innocent victim.

Feb 20 (Reuters) - Los Angeles-based startup Arc on Tuesday launched a new mass-market electric sport boat, months after the company backed by basketball player Kevin Durant and Hollywood star Will Smith raised $70 million in early-stage funding.
Called Arc Sport, it is priced at $258,000 and comes about two years after the company, which declined to give its valuation, launched a $300,000 premium speedboat, Arc One.
Arc Sport is 23-feet long and can accommodate 15 persons. It has a 226 kilowatt-hour battery and is powered by a 570 horsepower motor, while its software can be updated over the air. It can be reserved for $500 from Tuesday and will be delivered later this year.

I mean...yeah, I don't read celebrity news unless it becomes mainstream headlines (such as the Chris Rock issue). So sure, you seem to care much more about him than I ever have. He might be a grade A asshole in person. My only point was that self-deprecating is a whole different axis than "will slap you for hurting my wife" - knowing one doesn't tell you anything about the other.

The medical condition Jada has is Alopecia, not just short hair. It's not as bad as cancer sure, but I think it's fair to condemn a joke poking fun at a medical condition we can't control regardless of how bad it is.
