Lower Decks is a far, far better show than it has any right to be — especially if you are that Memory Alpha-reading class of fan (also hello).
If you're that Memory Alpha-reading class of fan (and also hello there...) You may find that many Lower Decks episodes absolutely must be watched at least twice -- Once to enjoy the story, and a second time to spot all the easter eggs.

In a lot of ways, it's a lover letter to classic Star Trek and fandom. Definitely worth a watch.

The only thing that puzzled me was that Boimler was actually quite competent and much more likeable in "live action" form than when he's animated. Also the fact that he's not really all that flustered or awkward when Chapel and Ortega sit on either side of him and socialize with him at the "bar"
He's in full "Bold Boimler!" mode... (Cue Boimler's silly fist pump...)
