We are moving to a larger house shortly to accomodate my 82 year old father, moving in with us. I would like to set up some sort of wall mounted touch screen display that is larger than tablet size, with the family Google calendar displayed on it. What kind of setup would you all recommend for something like this? Would a raspberry Pi be the ideal choice or a chrome box? I don't need full PC capability only to display the calendar and navigate between individual days and the month. This is to help my father remember appointments (and us), so we don't miss them. He is fairly tech savvy having owned an electronics manufacturing company most of his life, but I would like to keep it simple. We are transitioning him to Google Fi and a Pixel phone, from apple and it would help to have the calendar use the same interface. Only real requirements on the driving device is that it have wifi and be able to run some OS that can display the calendar. Would something like this be what you would recommend? I was thinking one of these for the monitor or do you have a better suggestion? Thanks for your help.
