China bans virtually every foreign tech company from doing business there but they throw a huge hissy fit when the US bans a single Chinese company.

It does seem that the US government is learning these things though. They've finally agreed to lift bullshit tariffs on Canada and Mexico in order to ratify the USMCA (NAFTA 1.1). Perhaps they'll start doing this kind of thing elsewhere, so they have more support from other countries.

They are about to get a big trade win with Japan.

Well Australia was first to start banning Huawei, and when they did so China retaliated by stopping all their coal exports from Australia.
