Mysterious minuscule Apple-branded display emerges

What could Apple be doing with a 3x3cm display? We're not all that sure, but we're willing to go out on a limb and say that Apple isn't about to announce an "iWatch."

iWatch will be a new phone for Verizon. This is the product coming in September. I know this from ...impeccable... sources.

While wearing the iWatch, you will stick your index finger on your ear, and put your pinkie near your mouth (note that the antenna will be free from the death grip). The iWatch will automagically transmit sound up your index finger, and use your pinkie for a mic. Boom.

I'm gonna go with touchscreen input for a remote control (ala The Logitec Harmony) to go with the new Apple TV. It's the only realistic use of that small a screen.

Secondary information screen would be a close second but still not really a practical application for that small a screen.

Hey, back off buddy! :D

It's obviously an iPad Mini.

Sorry, but exactly this sort of article is why I'm not a fan of Ars' Apple coverage. This is a rumor, unsubstantiated. It's not real news, and has no real value in contrast to a regular article.

Would this article have been ran if it were Asus, or Sony, or Nintendo? Or would you have instead waited until there was some actual information about the product to share?
