Another ICE agent was arrested last summer in Florida for drunk driving with his kids in the truck. Besides trying to play we're both law enforcement agents (which the police officer was having none of), he also starts questioning the citizenship status of one of the police officers. That's a violation of their rights even more than the false arrest, that's destruction of evidence.

I wonder if a streaming video app could be built where the video taken would be immediately uploaded to a server where the user couldn't be forced to delete it to push back on this? Maybe something managed by the EFF, ACLU or similar organization.

Some right wingers showed up in Minneapolis, and were run off. I like the use of water balloons.

MINNEAPOLIS, Jan 17 (Reuters) - Hundreds of anti-ICE protesters in Minneapolis chased off a small group of far-right activists who had vowed to march on a neighborhood where many immigrants live on Saturday, stoking tensions in a city on edge after the killing of Renee Good by a federal immigration agent 10 days ago.

Waving signs and screaming chants that called for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol agents to leave Minneapolis, the anti-ICE protesters gathered downtown near City Hall. Scores of them moved forward, forcing about 10 far-right demonstrators against the outside of the municipal government center within minutes. Some in the crowd tossed water balloons that soaked the right-wing demonstrators as temperatures hit -4 degrees Fahrenheit (-20 Celsius) with the wind chill.

ICE's facial recognition app doesn't seem to work very well. Not really surprising looking at the quality of their work.

When authorities used Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) facial recognition app on a detained woman in an attempt to learn her identity and immigration status, it returned two different and incorrect names, raising serious questions about the accuracy of the app ICE is using to determine who should be removed from the United States, according to testimony from a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) official obtained by 404 Media.
