Doctors blast Trump for doubling down on vaccine policy modeled after Denmark

So they just found the Western country with the most lax vaccine policy and copied them? They obviously started with the goal of fewer vaccines and worked backwards.
everyone knows this is how the scientific method works. I mean is this not what I learned in 7th grade? I think it is.

I vaguely remember a while back of the right having a meltdown when it was suggested the US should look at laws in other countries before implementing new, similar laws in the US.

Also one of the whitest populations... you know, so their policy AND their society matches what they want for us.

SCIENCE!

"The Nordic model of economics won't work here, because they're much smaller countries."

"Scandinavian social democratic policies based on high, and highly redistributive, taxes won't work here, because they're much smaller countries."

"Denmark's cradle-to-grave universal healthcare won't work here, because it's a much smaller country."

"Danish vaccine policy? Yeah, that'll work great here. No difference between us and them."

Ah, you are so cynical; they are about to reveal universal healthcare. (for those that can pay /s)

The most mendacious administration in the history of the United States of America. They lie like normal people breath. Why would anyone believe anything said by Trump and his sycophants?
You can generally tell when they are lying . . . their lips are moving (or fingers are typing, I guess)

sort of off topic, but I wonder what Denmark's gun control laws are like and if we could maybe copy those?

Let's check Wikipedia:

Carrying a firearm in public is strictly prohibited, however, a notion of proportionate self-defense exists. A person may use necessary and proportionate force to defend themselves against an imminent threat of serious harm; in extreme cases, this may include lethal force if no lesser means would suffice (for example, using a firearm when faced with an immediate threat of death or serious injury).

Fully automatic weapons are prohibited for civilian use, unless a special permit is issued by the Ministry of Justice. These permits are extremely rare and are typically granted only to individuals or companies working with or supplying the police or military.

Aah, but the very best science is that which comes from the gut of the very stablest genius in the world. After all, some relative of his was a college professor. (/s, as if anyone couldn't tell.)

How do you mean "Even Danish researchers"?!? Europe isn't yet infected by all your virulent anti-scientism. Not to the same degree anyway.
As the article explains, this is because the administration's new approach is ostensibly based on Denmark's vaccine schedule. (In fact, it's pretty clear they chose the "peer country" with the absolute lowest number of recommended childhood vaccines and then reverse-engineered their reasoning for why it was a good choice to model the U.S. after....)

But, because they're saying "this is based on Denmark's approach, and we should emulate them; they clearly have the right idea," it's worthwhile to point out that Danish researchers are saying "no, that's a terrible idea, our situations are different so you should not emulate our approach".

Everyone knows: Hypothesis -> Experiment -> Collect Data -> Evaluate the Results -> Hypothesis. I learned this in 6th grade science class.

I don't know the details that apply to vaccine studies. I read some Ars articles, and they: give vaccine to some people, not to others, and monitor their conditions. The two hypotheses being tested are: 1) the "intervention" population gets sick less often, and 2) the benefit is greater than the cost.

I think I read somewhere that vaccine studies are large and expensive because the proposed intervention is for everyone, and therefore, the safety data needed is similarly large. Interventions for, say, patients of a specific cancer type are allowed to be small.

And one suspects one of the people appointed to make this recommendation may have been selected because of the apparent ethnicity of their name.
