Buying Advice? 17" non-gaming laptop

Prefer 16GB RAM + 1TB HDD + boot SSD (but have spare SSD I can slip in if comes without).

Something more recent, but FPS game play is irrelevant.

Needs an HDMI port.

Any recommendations on decent machine for sale somewhere? Amazon, eBay, Newegg? Don't have time to wait for Hot Deal, just looking for decent quality at fair price. I know nothing about current state of laptop hardware.

I actually am getting ready list a 4K dell laptop, not 17". but close enough.

I figure u can slip in more ram and a SSD easy.

An SSD that size would be good enough and RAM works fine, but they are adamant on 17" screen. Thanks, though.

Checked the Dell Outlet. Thanks for the tip, unfortunately only gaming laptops available right now with the cheapest 17"er still over $1000.

The trick to shopping DellRefurbished.com is to use their pretty much always available 35%-50% off coupon codes.
I just looked at DellRefurbished.com and found a Precision 7720 with a 17.3” screen for 1149.00. Use the current coupon code (advertised on their landing page) for 45% off + free shipping and you've got a fairly decent desktop replacement for ~$520.
